PDA Outgauge?
Well, on my desk i have a Dell Axim X51v, its got WM5, and a 640*480 screen, and it connects to the network via wi-fi

Could i set it up as an outgauge app to do "something"? i can't program for toffee, is there anything out there that will do this?
I thought outgauge was purely to recreate gauges from? And the info ia sent via network packets, so there should be no problem using your PDA.

I don't know what outguage apps are publically available though.

it sounds out car information, correct? well therefore i could have things like "Fuel Load" and "Speed" on my PDA's screen!

Or perhaps... a big red shift light!
Unfortuantely, the free version of Visual Studio doesn't include the Mobile development tools. If you (or anyone else) can point me in the direction of some free windows mobile dev tools I'll be much obliged.
Yeah, sounds fine, doesn't need to be anything PDA specific.

If you find RayOK's (Stuff's) example app you can see what info you can play with, albeit in text form. Someone with some programming skills could easily make a simplistic visual interface for the data (e.g. circular guages, shift lights, g meter, and so on).

does this help?
Your real name's Adam?!

To the "leet-haxor" up there, the OS for the PDA jak has is Windows Mobile 5.

no my name is not adam

yes, it has WM5, aka Windows Mobile 5, aka Magneto. And the Dell has a 624 MHz CPU, so the code can be as dogy as you like

It might be. I've tried the eVB and eC options and neither were particularly friendly. Perhaps I should grit my teeth, but I'm currently acquainting myself with VS2005, so to add another environment and language subset/variant is a little too much for me.

So what is this 'somethin' ya wanna do , tyre psi, suspension...the usual visual stuff yeah? or....yeah tape it to your forehead, and you will be collective(as one)

....When?...for whaen you are takin a dump? or to have it beside screen or somethin'?

it sits in a cradle two inches beside my screen OR on my G25 (which i dont have... yet )
Good call! Got a PDA sat next to my screen too. Fuel, and some of the info from the F9-12 menus would be cool. Fairly pointless, but cool!
A mount to have it sat on the back of the wheel housing would work well. Then you could have the rev's, gear, shift light & fuel info, and it wouldn't look daft being there.

yup, thats why i want it, although i LOVE momoleds, but as the G25 has no leds ill mis the information like a shift light, and althouh i do it "by ear", it would be useful to have it (and a low fuel light as i cant count!)
