New lfs.exe -> option changes [not a bug]
Hello.

Everytime i upgrade LFS (The different P patches) my "Window while connecting" option gets set to yes. I think it happens even if you only exchange the lfs.exe file. This prolly isn't that big of a issue but it is annoying and probably a simple fix.

Thank you.

I think this is because your firewall may recognize that the LFS exe is a different version now.

This is normal, because if a program has been changed it could be due to a virus.
So you have to tell your firewall that it is actually the same lovely LFS as before ^^

So I think the standard option for "window while connecting" should be "yes" - simply because some ppl could get an error message by their firewall and in full screen they would not see it
I can assure you it is not my firewall simply because this computer doesn't have one. (it's on the gateway)

However i must agree with you on the firewall message popup but wouldn't it however take the focus from lfs?

My personal preference for this option is "no" simply because changing between windowed and fullscreen takes too long time =).

Not neccessarily.
Some don´t take focus, thats the point

And the option is not caused by a firewall of course, but I think it is there to prevent people looking for the "bug" that is actually not there

I hope what I write here makes sense ^^
Well, your right, however I would still want the option to stay between upgrades =)
It's easier for you to click the "no" button, once each time you get a patch, than it would be for the other people with a pop-up firewall, having to press the reset button to reboot their computer when it hangs because the firewall is waiting for an answer while LFS has taken exclusive control of the screen.

It's possible to get out of that situation on a Windows XP computer, if you know what you're doing, by using ALT+TAB and so on (or sometimes i think it can even auto-minimise LFS) but on Windows ME or Windows 98, the only way out is by using the hardware reset button.
