which [cheap] steering wheel should i buy?????
#2 - Davo
Get a second hand momo or DFP, don't buy a brand new crap wheel.
theres not alot of places open where i live on a weekend, so buying new is really the only option i have.. im impatant and need ond today, or it will haunt me all weekend, ill get a better one once my situation changes but till then, a cheapy will do....

Trust me, it's best to wait until you have what you want, otherwise you'll just wind up spending more to replace the one you should of never bought in the first place. Be sure you at least get one that clamps to your desk and has pedals. Those 2 things should be the very least you expect from a wheel.

I personally use the Logitech Momo (black version [newest Momo]). You can find them online from $90-110 new and cheaper used.

Be warned though, with the topic of this thread, you might have everyone suggesting everything. So, it might be in your best interest to post what your price range is, then we can start some better suggestions from there

i would look out for a logitech formula force gp you find them really cheap normaly
not sure how it is with normal stores i mostly buy this stuff over the inet
for me this one made over 4 years extensive driving until the power supply broke down
buut the nice logi service sent me a new power supply for free

on the inet you will find that for around 24-29GBP

£50 GBP is ALOT.

you can get a second hand GTFP with that kind of money, and a brand new black momo.

I'll suggest you go hunt for a GTFP. since the MOMO is prone to pedal related issues.

really, been reading up on it, and alot of guys are or have got wheels over 150 GBP LOL

what gtfp as googles not comong up with awt...
Where's Jakg with his racing wheel guide??
I'd hunt a momo (red or black) from ebay - it's really the only option, and for £50 it's possible to get even a DFP . Buying a crap wheel is like vomiting in your dinner.
I'm looking to sell my Logitech DFP to fund a G25 if your interested and handily I work in Castleford.
Do NOT get the logitech formula vibration feedback wheel! It dosent have force feedback, only vibration, something like the Xbox and PS2 controllers.

The market for affordable wheels is really quite simple these days. What you definately want is:

-metal main bearing (makes the wheel feel the same after 2 years as it did when new)
-optical sensor (no more spiking and other noise)

These two simple constraints already narrow the market down to two wheels, the DFP and the G25. Given that the DFP is dirt cheap there is not much to think about. In Germany you can get a new one for 58 GBP and a used one for about 40.

TADA! My sig!

You could spend £150 on a wheel, but you can pick up the DFP (Logitech Driving Force Pro) for £50 new, that's what i'd recomend

I'd like £50 for it, its not really had that much use in the time I've had it.
