Hello

With some french drivers we are doing trophée andros races. Trophée andros is a french ice racing series. Some famous french drivers like Yvan Muller, Alain Prost and Olivier Panis are racing in.

We use LFS Tweak s2 0.5V, LFS s2 0.5V and Snow Mod.
This way we have a 4WD XFG with about 390HP and 1090Kg

We open a server almost every night on LFS0.5V on the FE3R, BL1 or FE2 layout that you can see on the video. Yesterday we were 6 on the server.

How to instal LFS ice racing :

1) Create a New LFS folder.

2) Download LFS 0.5V. (easy to find with google)

3) Download LFS snow from this forum. And instal it as its explained.

Unrar the file .rar in your LFS folder.

5) Now download LFS Tweak s2 0.5V from this forum also.

6) Start LFS with LFStweak.

7) Load the Tweak preset attached.

8) Start Bespoke S2 and put the rims in to LFS.
(In your LFS folder you will find bespoke s2. before joining the server launch it and then clic on File>open and open the andros_final.rim. Then clic on LFS and export to LFS.)

9) Use the attached setup for the XFG. We all use the same setup online cause otherwise its easy to go faster with lower tire pressure.

10) Join us and feel the ice !

Oh i see. I had the same problem with my brother computer...

Download the dll from here http://perso.orange.fr/workbench/support/support.htm
and put it into your system32 forder.

Then type Regsvr32 msstdfmt.dll

It shouldt work now...

Exactely

But the setup has lot pressure for the rear tires. It makes it even more slipery

I though you french guys (rallycross) were cool but having seen the website (EIRC) I think not.

Which MecaniK version is it I can only see downloads for P02/P04/P05?

As much as I don't have a problem with the Andros Trophy and ice racing in general, I can't help think that mechanic, slickmod and lots of other stuff gets that confusing.

E : Amd you can't enforce snowmod, it's just a texture pack.

OT - Once (at Andorra) some of the cars had ludicrous amounts of sparks coming out of their front tyres - surely they could have used rear spikes front slicks.

Well using slicks would be a waste of time on the ice, only small tarmac sections where the ice had melted cause the spikes. The cars have to run on whatever there is because they are too wide to choose but if you watch the bikes they have to find the best balance between grip (tarmac) and looking after the tires (ice). IIRC they're limited to one set of tires per weekend as well.

That's a link to the slickmod.

Could you post your version of mechanik please? It's small enough to just attach to the forum.

EDIT: you sure that's the right version I get an error when I try and load the preset.

No. This bug is a mecanik bug. You just need to clic on apply manualy after loading the preset. It does the same with me since i use it.

When I load the preset and press apply I get a car with 14 billion bhp @ 38000 rpm maybe if you just posted all the numbers for everything (or took a screenshot of your mechanik entry I could see if I get a mismatch when I connect?

Open the tweak file in notepad. Change the ',' to '.'

There seem to be two seperate issues, the error message is there by default. To apply a preset I found I need to first change any value so that my apply button goes green then load the preset file and click apply.

The second issue is with the formatting, obviously in France you use a comma "," to denote a decimal in the UK we use a period "." this seems to have caused an issue with mechanik thinking 350,000 is 350000 rather than 300.000 because in the UK a comma is used as a spacer every 3 digits.

I've attached this file that works for people who can't run yours, they should be compatable because all the numbers mechanik is using are the same.

EDIT: Beaten to it This mod is awesome by the way Is the server going up tonight?

I've made a UFR set (use same preset)

Surely the FXR is more like an Andros Trophy car than an XFR, with C4's.

I will try to find someone to create a server. Stay tuned. I've made a new layout also.

Server created. no pass. But only 6 rooms.

@Duke - nope. looking a the pictures on the Trophee Andros website they all seem to be hatchbacks.

The man who have created cannot host it anymore.
