Plus it's nice to see a version of this battle that isn't speeded up. Most clips you'll see of this look unrealistically fast, but when you see the crowd you can see it's speeded up.
I'm on the 6th season with Jordon, getting tired of winning every single race tho , just if there's multiplayer...(and that darn bug with failed save games!!)
That`s the kind of F1 I remember. Way back before it all turned so sweet and fragrant you`d be happy to wipe yer arse with it.
My parents watched every race religiously, so I grew up watching F1 (and any other motorsports on TV at the time) and it really was nasty, dirty, and still exceedingly dangerous. (Not quite as dangerous as the 50`s/60`s obviously) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9P-DDhTaeb8
The vid doesn`t show the pit lane accident, or much of the start line incident with Lehto`s stall, that seriously injured spectators.
So much happened in there, that was so very bad, and as horribly painful as it was to sit through every minute of it, it was absolutely everything motor racing was about and stood for. Every F1 race after has been so bland and sterile that it`s now totally unwatchable to me.
Not anything special in that particular race, but this is clip from a Duke's F1 season 1971 review and as you can see the audiovisual material is just awesome... there are even some slow motion clips.
