Hmm...
That's not an evo. It's the regular Lancer.

(Edit: Regardless of that, it looks pretty neat actually)

(Edit2: Oh, that, nvm.)
i'd love one, but they're too tempting to break the speed limit in. i have enough points on my licence as it is!

There's an auto version? wtf? Looks stunning though, hints of audi and alfa in the design. Interior is a bit blergh.

[X]

Yes, I realised at my 2nd edit ;P
X is Roman for ten. But we'd like to think it denotes and X rating--for the meanest, rawest Evo ever made. This future rally rocket was first previewed by the Concept X from last year's Tokyo auto show, and now a closer version is being shown here at Detroit. When the car goes on sale around this time next year, power will continue to come from a 2.0-liter turbo four, but output will push past the current Subaru WRX STI's 300-hp rating and a new, aluminum block will be used. Because it would be a shame not to use the new Outlander SUV's lovely magnesium-alloy paddle shifters, an automated manual transmission will be offered alongside a traditional 5-speed manual box. Naturally, the Evo will be driven by all four wheels, via a new S-AWC (Super All-Wheel Control) system that Mitsubishi promises will rival Honda's SH-AWD in sophistication. The new system will feature active steering, active yaw control, and myriad electronic sensors. We hope S-AWC doesn't compromise the great steering possessed by Evos VIII and IX--after all, Mitsubishi promises this will be the "largest leap in overall capability between two generations of the Evolution."
Looks very bland. The Lancer on which the Evo 7 and 8 were the best looking. I don't think the X will be especially attractive, although 'everyone' will love it because it's new (and therefore must be better, somehow). The grey bumper insert looks really naff too - the sort of thing a 17 year old would fit.

u must be crazy? the best shape was the 5/6/tommi mak, 7/8 isnt a bad shape. but th 9 blows them out the water with its rear diffuser and new grille.

i agree the new one looks a little ... european but i guess there trying for a bigger market. im sure this will be amazing fast round a track
Yes, that gray thing on the front just doesn't look good, like, why is it there? Ruins the looks, well, maybe it just tries to be different with that thing as it doesn't look that aggressive in other ways. Tho bonnet look like it's been affected with the pederestian safety regulations, somehow smooth and soft and doesn't have any sharp parts...like it would matter as you are constantly doing too much with those things anyway.

I think it's really fugly.
yuk, id rather look at an evo 7 than that, front end reminds me of that new hatchback volvo illepall
You'd need nice n' thick beer goggles just to look at that front without gagging.
Waddya expect?

After all, a Bosnian dude designed that car.

And Bosnians cant draw for s***.

(is partiallly Bosnian)
*points at the 'modernise the cars'-thread*
I like the 4,5,6-series the best

Looks ok, will cost too much though =P I will stick with my SRT.

400BHP would be nice though coming out of a 2.0 =) (est. HP of MR edition 320 standard, still nice numbers though =) Dodge puts a 300BHP 2.4 liter into their new SRT-4's, which might be AWD next year. The Standard Caliber has AWD.
Sorry guys STI rules
320 HP ~450 Nm

And a bucket load of understeer, and even more fugliar!

Sorry 4 posting in an evo thread i´ve better
Painting the grill insert body color makes a world of difference. That alone took the car from being pretty ugly to looking really nice. I still prefer the Evo V and VI though. The Evo IX is pretty nice too.
Evo 6 was the best looking of any modern rally rep, went downhill big time with the bland but aggresive nonsense with the 9 and now the 10. I really hate this modern styling where they end up making the normal car so bland and then make the sporty version aggressive, it just doesn't work, obviously aimed at the US market IMO.

Why can't they just give us a normal website anyway, I don;t want to watch some crappy video that tells me nothing about the car and then have to view everything in a tiny box, I have a mouse and two 17" monitors attached to my PC for a reason
I think the "good old" evos were still the concept "form follows function", which IMHO , not "form follows safety laws" or even "function follows form"
but that was all already discussed
