Storing the G25?
This may be a rather obsessive question, but I'm curious as to how you guys store your G25 when you're not using it.

I keep mine 'face down', so to speak, with the steering wheel flat against the floor. I would think that this minimizes the lateral stress placed on the shaft of the wheel.

Any thoughts?

Actually... I dont store it.

I just move it out of the way, on the side of the office.illepall
Then again, i have space to do that, and i know that most people dont have that luxury.

On the other hand, lets keep in mind that the G25 has 2 roller bearings for the shaft, so that it's far more sturdy than all the other wheels, and possibilities of it getting damaged by storing are really low in comparisson
My g25 is on order so dont know where going to store it buy my dfp ive got 3 shelves at one end of my desk and i can clamp it to the middle one and im hoping my g25 can go there too.
Shifter off the desk, and on the floor agains the wall. Wheel unclamped, moved to side of desk, reclamped up. Out of the way, and not prone to damage or stress.

If you leave it unclamped, the auto-calibration routine when booting might make it throw itself off the desk, so keep those clamps finger tight
Left on the floor in between a chest of draws and my sub. It's prone to getting kicked. I have space for one wheel under a desk that I don't have a chair for but the Momo currently lives there as it's out of the way. I should probably start putting the G25 there and start kicking my old momo around the floor instead.

clamped to an unused part of my desk (wheel itself) with the shifter lying loose on the desk. pedals stay on the ground, it's fun to use them as a foot-rest
Shifter stays in place - its on a small table to my lower left anyway, the wheel gets moved & reclamped to the edge of the desk so its out the way, pedals stay put - I find myself playing with them while doing stuff, which is surely better than not moving my legs at all.
1) Unscrew wheel clamps, move to left, clamp again.
2) Raise custom built shifter adapter slightly, push to the far right of the drawer it is attached to, lower adapter again.
3) Pedals stay.

Erm, I haven't moved it since I attached it to the desk. My keyboard now lives on top of my case or on my lap when typing though.

I really need a new desk.
No G25, but I have a Momo. It's left clamped at all times unless I'm playing something else (flight sim or hockey) in which the wheel gets completely unplugged and moved to the floor for either the joystick or gamepad. I'm just too lazy to remove it every night. Unfortunately, I've told the wife time and time again that if she pulls it off without unclamping it again and breaks it, she is buying me a G25. So, hopefully she breaks the clamps, LOL.

Actually, she stays home and takes care of the kids and the house (hence why I'm still on 56k and onboard graphics). So, I guess I'd be the one buying the replacement, which I don't have the funds for. It will be a sad day when she breaks the Momo. I'd better start unclamping it every night.

It never leaves the desk. Keyboard is off to the side, sometimes when I'm eating at the desk and need room I'll unclamp it and just chuck it on my bed, 5 minulates later its clamed up again. Pedals stay where they are and used as a footrest also.
since my old momo racing, and new g25, wheel never leaves the desk!!. Keyboard is on left side mouse on right, and you can play rpg,racing....whitout moving anything....

My G25 wheel and shifter go on the floor, pedals stay where they are (good footrest), I put the G25 so it's on the floor on the back of the case so the wheel is off the floor in the air so the auto calibration on start up is unaffected.
