I got a Xbox-USB controller thinggy and I'm very confsed on how to set it...

I was it as...
Left Trigger - as brake
Right trigger- as gas
B - as clutch
A - as e-brake
X - as Shift Down
Y - as Shift up
Left joy sitck - as sterring
Right joy stick - (Right) Right view (Left) View Left (Up) Zoom (Down) Zoom Out
Start button -as ESC button (on keyboard)
Select Button - Change View

I've download the Driver that I got from the place Bouth the adaptor from..which dosn't do anything... and I tried another on which ended up putting steering, gas, and brake all on the left jot stick.

Any help would be greatly apperciated, I searched but came up with PS2 and 360 controllers... >.<

• Plug controller out.
  
• Un-install the driver you downloaded from the place you bought the controller from...whic did'nt do anything.
  
• Plug in the controller.
  
• IF Windows tries to install A driver STOP it,
  
• if windows does'nt install a driver; goto control panel/Add new Hardware wizard, and install the driver that you downloaded.
  
• Go to control panel/game controlers and set up and callibrate the controller.
  
• Start LFS, go to options/controls then go here to learn how to assign axis and buttons..

Thank you...lol..I know this is a late response, but after reading everything and taking my time to explore all the options I figured a set up that works for me quite well ^_^...It's alot of fun and reminds me of xbox so much it's scary lol.. If some one has a spare xbox controller, an extra usb cord, a soldering gun, and like xbox should try it..I went for the cheap alternative..lol

I'm having similar problems; my triggers are recognised in LFS, set as gas and brake - they show in the bottom right ok when pressed.

When playing, however, everything works apart from the triggers Instead I get the default assignment, on the Y axis, so getting round turns on a thumbstick is really tricky, lol.
