I have a monitor with a DVI connector. Is there any way that i can hook up my xbox 360 to my monitor as the quality of my monitor is much better than my TV.

IIRC there are patch leads that convert DVI to Standard DIN (the yellow plugs for tellies) If not, then there are DEFINATELY converters for DVI to 15 pin plugs (I got one); so there should also be a simple solution to your problem...I assume the XB360 got standard TV out sockets?

Fortunately my monitor has integrated speakers and supports one of those resolutions so i will be buying one of those connectors shortly.

Also is it possible to get a device where you can plug in two VGA cables as swapping them around every time i use either the xbox or pc will be a hassle.
