Great video, I love that show
But the onboard in the end was a little bit weird, never seen anyone drive like that.

the car had normal production car snow tyres instead of WRC metal stud tyres... it says this on the vid too. That continuous left-foot brake pumping in the corners looked kinda weird few times. The road must have been just extremely slippery.

Regarding the quality this is from some VHS video? I've seen this clip in few documents (Too Fast To Race, World Greatest Rally Cars, The Evolution of Drift Angle - which is rally document, nothing to do with drifting) but it has been slightly shortened version in them. Too bad that practically there are no onboard videos from Group B era (or then there is but very rare ones?).

Hardly suprising when you consider the size of the camera used for the 956 onboard vids. Couldn't find a shot of the actual camera but it's on the DVD will take a screen later IIR (well worth getting the DVD).

I don't know where it's from originally, I just found it on my HD and I think I've seen it on German TV before. Probably from a German VHS, yes. It's a shame the cameras were big and expensive in those days. I've taken a screen for ajp71:

Formulas have had onboard cams since late 70's... I guess back then no one simply got the idea to put cams inside rally cars.

Woah, the bike dude at 00:57 roxx. Some of the other crashes are really scary: Flipping over from nothing but changing direction quickly and being thrown out by not having the seatbelts on.

There was only onboard cam in practise, because the camera is sooo huge, get find the DVD "lap of the gods".

And, while great to watch, almost never do you get a 'fast' lap, let alone a 'mad qualifying' lap. I find the wet laps the most fun, Cheever at Detroit, Depailler at Montreal: laps where they really had some fun.
