softer marker boards on edge of track?
they seem heavy and solid but whenver i see those white "advertising" type boards at the side of the track on a race on tv they are made of polystyrene and just disintegrate on contact.

what do you think?
Yeah, agreed. But you have to admit there's nothing to clenth a sphincter like seeing a sign in front of you as you recover back to the track... Possibly one the scariest moments in LFS.
The only thing more scary is when you do autocross/stunt/rally driving and slide towards one of the red-white barriers.

+1 (after recent experiences).
Quote from AndroidXP :The only thing more scary is when you do autocross/stunt/rally driving and slide towards one of the red-white barriers.

That definately needs to be improved. Like on the City Driving servers, any more than 40MPH down those little bitty streets and you slide into the wall and get flinged across the level..

Then you're busted .
Those signs definitely need sorting out. They'd never be allowed to be that solid under FIA rules. Hitting them should be like hitting nothing at all (except they should crumble)

oh yeah forgot about this,

it might need to wait until the future when we have a better damage model, then we can incorporate overheating say if it gets stuck in a vent or it could jam the suspension or something along those lines.

for now i just think its there as a deterent to cutting the grass i guess.
IMO they should be made just as if they are holograms until they are flimsy like the are IRL - IRL they are always polystyrene - IIRC they can only be made of polystyrene.
