Is there a way to disble restarts...if my server is running publicly, is there something can i set in the config. to disable the restart vote as soon as someone hits the vote button so that once a race/qual is started it MUST run out the time unless an admin. restarts it?

In your setup.cfg set these timings.
/rstmin=240
/rstend=240
This at least prevents restarts until 4 minutes into the race. By which time most restart junkies have given up. This also stops voting for restarts while some poor bugger is trying to finish.

RE-start feature should be removed from LFS entirely, with 2 exeptions: a) all players on track vote for a restart and b) server admin can always force a restart. Not long ago, one dude crashed twice, flew into pits twice, was quite slow overall and when I was on lap 6 out of 10, he started to vote a restart. His excuse: we are all too spread out on the track. I'm sure if I would have stayed on the server for the restarted race, all what had happened to this restarter dude would have happened again.

add /endqual while you're at it.
and /forceready (to put an end to those pesky waits in the lobby)

ya I actually set those to 300sec.

300 sec rstend? omg.

5min......I hate it when ppl restart

yeah, me too, but rstEND? "no restart within X seconds of race finish"

You really keep the clients waiting for 5 minutes after each race? I'd leave ...

It is in the setup.cfg for the dedicated host files. Download from the additional downloads of lfs.net
