But what's this then http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=273834 ? Older release from this same "remake version"? Doesn't look the same at all in the screenshots. Anyway I guess this latest version isn't yet converted for GTL/GTR2 because it was released just few weeks ago?

Difference in amount of detail compared to the all previous (GPL based) versions is just huge...

The two rF links are the same, no idea about GTR one though.

The GT4 version is definately pretty close, but again, physics... well, the physics are definately not that great. I haven't played the full version in PGR3, but the GP version looked and felt pretty good. I put that game down though, since it looked good and all, but just didn't do it for me in the realism sense.

*edit: that rFactor version makes me want to try it out... even though I laid that game to rest ages ago.

well of course the game itself isnt any simulator but the nordschleife is done realy awesome imho

Thanks for your replies everyone, I'll keep all this in mind, although I am of course perfectly aware that braking points etc arn't to be learnt from a video game, I was thinking more a long the lines of pace notes style learning then indoctrinated hotlapping skills!
