Connection problems and a partial solution?
Hello,

I'm one of the racers who's had problems with master server connections of late. I'd like to sound out people in a similar position if they feel as frustrated as I do when they can't get to race, and whether the following could be a partial solution:

Racing offline is a hollow experience for me, as is hot-lapping, but a bit of point-to-point racing could be interesting. Would it be feasible to set up some official point-to-point racing on existing circuits (advancing into hill-climbs etc. at a later date) with the abilty to upload racer stats /results when you can get online.

Victor's autocross competition was great fun (did it die a death or was it an experiment for greater things to come?) Could something similar be set up for online/offline racing, again with the ability to upload results, so you could compete even when offline?

If connection problems continue, or get worse in the future, maybe something like this could hold peoples attention during those times and be of interest to racers with no connection problems. It seems to me that STCC has shown that even non-league racers enjoy the focus of advancing by racing for points etc.

Sounds like hotlapping, almost...
