yes, it is working in my firefox 2 now as well, maybe my system was just being obtuse.(I did restart it to test before reporting this though...)

If you ever have a problem with the WYSIWYG editor, just goto your Edit Options page, and at the bottom where it says "Message Editor Interface", choose a different style that suits your browser.

The basic editor is just a simple text box with no special features. The standard editor is just basic formatting tools that should work on all browsers. But the enhanced interface is the one that might not work on all browsers, however, you need to make sure you have the code view turned on if you need to see the editing code. Otherwise you will be editing the text as if you were using MS Word or something. Screenshot below to explain:
