lol dont know about having kids (only 15) but little cousin always wants a turn on it and he keeps on getting me banned so yeah this is an idea i giv the thumbs up for.

Hi. Yeah a kiddie server is a great idea
Is there an age limit? My daughter is 13 and after 3 years, Finally has become interested in LFS. And like what was posted earlier,
she uses an auto trannie and a full tank of fuel. LOL and she's a complete danger on the race track. So until she gets playing the game down good enough to stay outta people's way, something like this would be good for her (and us )

I've always been afraid of getting banned by proxy by letting my kids play. When my daughter first got blue flagged, she slowed down looking for a blue flag thinking it was some sort of bonus power up to grab.
ok not really, but you get the idea.

Plus, with small chidren, they always seem to want to do adult type things. And this will give them the opportunity to spin the wheel, stomp on the pedals and be just like their parents. I think it would really make their day. And for some of the parents, is after that, they'll have the opportunity of learning the inner workings of their pedals

But yeah, this really sounds like a good thing

Just to re-cap, the [dSRC] equivalent of this has been running for some time now, and there may be some confusion about finding it, mainly because I use 2 different names depending on whether the server is moderated or not:

[dSRC] Training Grounds = UNMODERATED
[dSRC] Nursery = Means a (almost) responsible person is actually overseeing the shenanigans.

I am sorry to sound as if 'sour grapes' are setting in, but it hurts to see everybody praising somebody for what was essentially MY idea in the first place!

Tis true. I remember when dSRC created the server. Unfortunately, I have never seen anyone on there.

Perhaps, Bladerunner, you should have promoted it a bit more. I remember seeing one post started by you and that's all I had heard. I looked for it back then, but no one was on. I didn't even realize it was still available, is it?

Great idea, but not a good idea for the time my pc is available..., two sisters addicted to my wheel and liveforspeed singleplayer, no multi because they have a strange talent for searching and going over the limits

When i let one drive she keeps driving and doesnt want to leave, but the other one wants and then there's a girlish row and i have an excuse to take over the driving and ban them from my room

Luckily, these days, they aren't in my room that often because i got a room somewhere at a less clean place(students), but when they are on visit they always fight for the wheel. Guess i'd give them a go on your server, next time that happens...

When this becomes big, and some kids start to race and call the other kids obstacles, then maybe one of the top teams should start a serious kidracing server, for ambitious kids

Then they can earn a racing licence, and start racing against the adults on the normal servers. Also when they get better licenses, they can switch from the pink skin to serious skins, ending with a pink playboy skin

With thanks to Server500, a server is now ready and waiting to go. I am make the server live or dead, as I feel, and I think this is the best way. AS this is a childrens server, it should not be open 24/7 and unmoderated, as I would not like my kids joining that sort of server.

If there is any dads, that their kids will join, and would like to help to have the server live longer, then please PM me.

I am hoping the server will be live, late Saturday Afternoon ( got a Airport run before hand )

Please all, remember this is a kids server. Its for kids to play around with LFS. Make mistakes, spin, crash, but learn to go in the right direction in "their" own time, not within 2mins of getting online.

Also, you more experienced members. I really thankyou for your help, as in advice, but we are talking about children here, kids that just want to do what daddy and mummy's do, so there is no speed, laptimes, etc etc.

All I ask, is, Parents, please VET your own child. This is not a daycare service, its based on what my children want to do, and mine are 8 and 7 and want to race people like their daddy does, its that plane and simple with no rules, or banning or foul language.

I must stress, please no foul language, or abuse or anything of the kind. This is a adult free server, if you look at it that way, and its just for the kids of parents that race LFS to simply, have a go, and experience what we do.

I never found the server. I tried a few things in the "join specific server" and loaded the list of all 300+ servers for a little bit until I got tired of waiting for it to list. There definitely wasn't anything around that had connections in it.

My sweet little blonde 6 and 3 yr olds with tears rolling down their innocent little faces kept asking "when can we play online like you do daddy, when?" hehehehe. Just kiddin bout that

Hi All,

Yes after I figured out to get it up and running, it was a bit late. But the server was up for approx 2.5hrs yesterday afternoon. In that 2.5hrs a couple of people joined, but mostly drivers with alot of LFS experience.

I am thinking about passwording it for the future, and asking people to PM me for the password, as the name clearly doesn't explain the purpose of the server
