Never Play With Grenades!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

what a fool!
Saw it a while ago but scene as i'm a grenade noob I don't get what the first pop was...

I woulda shat myself to if a grenade that I had just popped the pin out of made a bang like that.

That guy that set off the grenade didn't even get it in the first moment. For some reason he didn't immediately try to get as far away as possible but rather tried to approach it (Suicide? Stupidity?).

Vain
f5 = you, sir, are a retard! What a idiot!
Not really funny, that guy clearly drops it accidentally... In the army I threw one real hand grenade, immediately after removing the pin I just threw it to the marked area and didn't even aim at all... I just started to "panic" and wanted to get rid of it as fast as possible.

I remember watching some travel show on tv where they went to some kind of "guerilla" camp where turists could go, pay money and shoot with guns (even bazookas) and stuff. Can't remember what country it was, probably some country in Asia or Africa. So I think this vid is from one of those places...
Didn't get to throw grenades in the army (only the concrete versions), but technically, even if the pin is taken off, it's safe as long as the handle is not flying away - which is what happened on that video at the first pop, timer setting on and stuff. He's just a n00b showing off.

Quite the contrary... If the pin is out and the handle depressed, get rid of it as fast as possible... Ripping the handle off is completely unnecessary and can even lead to the grenade detonating prematurely...
It depends on the fuse the grenade uses, some you can hold the handle when you pull the pin, you can even push it back and it won't detonate, others will arm when the pin is pulled.
Which film is it (Bond?) when he puts an unpinned grenade in a jar, so that only when the jar breaks does the handle fly off allowing the grenade to detonate? I'm pretty sure 95% of grenades are like this too, meaning you can't blow yourself up as long as you hold the handle (which means, unless you're a complete fool, before you throw it).
what do you do if an irish man throw a grenade at you?

pull the pin out and throw it back

I love the way even Irish people admit being stupid, and even mock themselves.

You win. Funniest post of the day goes to DaveWS.

Quite correct, Tristan. Virtually any "modern" grenade you'll find will not detonate whilst the handle is being held - this was originally intended to prevent premature detonations. The other point being that you can pull a pin and hold the handle in preparation, so you don't have to spend time ripping the pin out when you need to be chucking that timely, well-placed 'nade through the air
What do you do if an Irishman throws a pin at you? Run, he's still holding the grenade.

Tell him not to pop the handle off?

Thanks, I had been looking for ways to prevent premature detonation. Perhaps this will be my answer.

i have alot more irish jokes but they make the english look bad :P
in time you will find that telling a joke about your our nationallity will offend less people. it's like gay people telling gay jokes

It's a classic booby trap, used quite widely even today in middle-east.
"Never play with grenades"

Maybe it's just me, but I thought that was pretty obvious even without a video explaining why
Yes that was a bit stupid! Idiot!
