Had a look all I've got is a floppy disk which I guess must read data off a hidden partition in my hard drive which must also tie me down to using this hard drive/force me to buy windows if my HD fails I guess I'll just use the restore system and either try and stop it as soon as it has reinstalled windows or let all the scripts install everything and then remove it manually.

A quick update, reinstalling windows and latest (7.1 ATI drivers, chipset drivers, Philips soundcard drivers + all updates (inc SP2)) seems to have done absolutley nothing to my computers performance

I guess it's best to save up to build a new one rather than buy a new AGP graphics card which would end up getting ditched with the PC.
