Ok, so I have a new HD 37" LCD TV, and would like to play GT4/Tourist Trophy in HD, is this possible?, and if so how?.

It isn't, the PS2 doesn't have such high res graphics.

of course, it works.

with ntsc ps2 or anyone ps2 with modchip.

The NTSC Version from GT4 has HD support in Game-Menu and it works fine.

GT4 can be scaled up to 720p or 1080p, I think it canbe done but only on PS3 but I'm not sure. Check the options.

Key word is "scaled up"...

GT4 on the PS2 supports 480i and 1080i. you have to buy the PS2 component cables. after hooking up the component cables, you can select 1080i from the in game options menu.

there is one caveat though. it only supports 1080i in races. Game menus are 480i. So, there is lots of switching back and forth. very annoying, depending on the tv (some handle it better than others).
