But my mate has a big problem with his Steering.....he can be driving along and going fine then BAMM!!! it pulls Hard left or right and he has too try and recover it or just looses it totally.

First of all he has a good pc P4 3ghz, 2gig DDR, Nvidia 6800 etc Steering Wheel is i think Logitech Forumla GP.

Any idea's / fixes would be awesome.

I have this wheel but have not encountered the problem as described, my wheel is falling apart now as the build quality appears to be pretty diabolical. So I'm looking at a DFP or MOMO as a replacement

My settings are posted here: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=2544
I am only using Keyboard to steer, but I am facing the same problems sometimes. Also on the starting grid, when the race starts it happens that I can not steer at all and some seconds later , all steering commands seemed to be stored in a buffer and the car is following these commands. This seems to the other racers sometimes as I am a Wrecker which I'm definitely not......

maybe it's a problem of network connection ?
Try increasing minimum sleep in the options?

Didn't help much maybe we didnt go high enough ?
Had the same problem with a thrustmaster wheel some time ago.

Check the pots in the wheel aren't worn or dirty. You could try cleaning them with wd40 or try getting a replacement pack.
Pots ??? im lost

Potentiometers. Sort of like a volume knob on your stereo system, but in this case they turn with the steering wheel and tell the position of your wheel to the computer.
