how cool is that thing LOL

wonder how much power it has...
I want one...........
Well my tiny incy wincy 2 stroke engine makes over 1HP That thing I would guess was probably making at least 20 or 30 I would guess with some nice torque too =)

never thought of them LOL
yeah it runs on nitro methane, makes about 1.2 HP and .00001 pounds of torque, my RC car will hit about 45 with it though =)

Came accross this while searching for some more details of the V8.

O/T - What R/C car you have? Sounds quite similar to my HPI RS4 Evo.

Matt
i had 2 rc nitro's sold them few month ago, they were suppose to do 45mph but theres no way of testing, without going through a speed camera LOL

My airplane (about 5 or 6 ft wingspan) has a .40 cu in (6.5cc) 2-stroke. It's rated for 1 HP at 16000 RPM, although I'm not sure what percentage nitromethane they used for that. I think my fuel has something like 5% nitro.

Slightly O/T: My father told me he put some RC nitro fuel in his Yamaha 90cc dirtbike once and it gave it a nice boost.
I bet it would =)
I saw on a TV show once some guy built a small scale complete replica of a Ferarri RC car down to replicating in detail the V12 engine. It was somewhere in the size of a normal 1/8th(?) scale RC car.
as i dont know much about engines, what is the difference between a V8 and a blown V8?
well a Blown V8 is 'short' for supercharged. Depending on the type, a supercharger uses two giant corkscrews to force the air into the combustion chamber. In that video it's the big thing with the belt running from the crank to the middle top of the engine with the big intake on it.

Well that explains, when I first saw that video I was very disappointed to not see the engine blow up
