Anyone ever play the TOCA series?
First off let me justify me asking this question here by saying that it is one of the more active and friendly racing forums I frequent.

The reason I ask is that i'm having issues getting my Logitech Formula Force GP to work properly with it, the FF effects are all reversed (car gets lighter as it goes faster) and it does not seem to have an option or fix anywhere.

Just wondering if anyone had similar issues and found a workaround.

The reason that I'm even playing the game is that I found it in my collection and realised I never completed it. Now that my gamepad (what I've used for all arcade racers to date) has passed on I want to complete the game then ebay it with the rest of my old games. I will get back to LFS shortly but I really have an urge for arcade racing right now.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT

Sorry I should have been clearer, the game I'm having difficulty with is TOCA Race Driver, the first one. Not the original TOCA.
ive got toca rd1 rd2 and rd3 for ps2 and toca 2 for pc

Erm... the steering should get lighter as you go faster in any car which doesn't have fancy, very expensive, completely pointless, power steering option to make it the same weight with speed (I think only BMW offer this).

Really though the FF in TRD isn't worth bothering with if you want to use a wheel just unplug the power. Bare in mind though you'll be faster and it will feel better to use key inputs.

Yes it most definatly does =)
Only in cars with no significant aero component surely. An F1 car and GTR/DTM class cars all get heavier with load, which is why they need power steering. TOCA and other similar class cars should be the same but to a lesser degree. No?
I have ToCA Touring 2 on PC.

Downforce will have an effect on the weight of the steering but most single seaters with conventional steering systems will not use power steering and I'd whilst they're heavy they are drivable. AFAIK F1 cars use funny steering setups where there isn't a conventional mechanical linkage so power steering is there by default. Most GT cars simply keep a modified version of the standard road car's power steering. BTCC cars are odd because with an LSD they'd be ridiculously heavy at times so power steering is a must and would instantly trivialise any effect the downforce may make on the steering.

Most conventional racing cars are perfectly drivable even after a power steering failure, the only types of cars I can think of where it really causes cars to become useless are rally cars.
