Stability of program WORSE than previous patches? [SOLVED]
Hi guys,

I am wondering, why my screen freezes at some (read: random) point of gameplay? I never had this in the U patches and my computer hasn't changed one bit except for the hard drive space I have left.

Does anyone else think LFS is less stable overall, or am I crazy ?
havent had that happen to me.
make sure ur pc is spy/malware free.
That's odd, I checked a few minutes ago on the malware thing and my comp seems okay...
I've never had freezing-problems with lfs ... I had no problems with V and U and the patches before.
Maybe you should try to reinstall the game.

All Patch U, V have been stable for me as in no freezes i did have the occasional stutter that was fixed in patch V, I think, The only time LFS has actually froze has been ages ago when I used a mouse and a lesser system than now, the system would overheat and use all resources at the same point and freeze till it recovered some ram or cooled down

If I used a wheel it didn't get as hot (just) or use that extra bit of resource, I'd look at the system (cpu) temp, is it an intel system with that horrid cpu throttling that automatically kicks in when it gets too hot? and makes the thing run like a 486 till it cools down?

hope this helps

Apparently, trying a fresh new installation stopped the problems.

Note to self, never overwrite important files.

Hello all.
i have big problem with LFS(0.5V), game freeze (but sound not) and unfreeze after several seconds (5-10 sec's). it may happen in internet race or race with bot's( but not when hotlapping). What i tried:
-reinstall OS (WinXp SP2)
-install all new driver's for video and directX
-download and install new LFS
- change graphic's to very low
My system spec's:
-Athlon XP 2000+
-GeForce 6600GT (AGP, 128mb)
-768 ram
-Lan 100 mbit\sec
This problem never disturb me before! I not install new prog's, i not change any parts in my pc.
Plz help me. I can't normally play, only hotlaps
P.S. I'am driving on keyboard right now.
P.S.2 Hm now i tried race with 5 bot's and it's ok, i connected to stcc server and game freeze and server disconnect me.
p.s.3 I tried drive on server with low amount of people (1-5 ppl) and it's ok i drive 10 laps and game work properly, then i connect srever with 20 ppl and freeze continuos(sound lagging to) and when game unfreeze some texture's lost. Why that happen?
Are you sure you have not tried a fresh install like I have? That may solve the problem, otherwise I can't help you on this

Something must be overheating.
Hm i change cpu frequncy 1600 mhz -> 1200 mhz in BIOS, and problen disappered. That's mean's my cpu overheat? One way it's buy new coolling system?
P.S. Game lagging =(
