Im going to get the G25 friday... Im very much doubtfull that it will suck, 6speed shifter , clutch... sounds goood but just gimmie what sucks about it or is it just perfect
The only problems people here have been reporting are with the shifter - usually with reverse gear becoming difficult/impossible to select, sometimes other problems with it. Bear in mind the thing's only been out a couple of months, so the shifter is probably pretty weak if it's breaking so quickly.
Probably worth buying the thing for the wheel and pedals anyway to be honest.
I'm sure nobody doesn't want the shifter... I'd want it for the three pedal set though, having been driving with two sets of pedals for the last... year and a bit. It would be much better to have three pedals all on the same board - less knocking my pedals over or kicking them away when braking. The wheel itself also looks really great quality. If I had to replace the shifter with an Act Labs unit I wouldn't mind really.
i thought the shifter felt pretty crappy, but it does the job, and the forcefeedback easily makes up for it anyway. This wheel definitely works best in LFS.
I only got one thing to complain about, and that is the placement of the pedals. Hitting throttle and brake at the same time is too hard (in a decent car, this is easy in real life).
Other than that, its fantastic, way better than the DFP.
Driving is 0.001% operating the gear stick, 0.004% operating the other controls and 99.995% watching the crazies in the other cars very, very carefully.
