15 #43 - iNf!N!tY*Skills +12 laps
16 #21 - ProDrive Racing +15 laps
17 #15 - Clownpaint DNS

How the results were obtained:
  • Both replays were run with the tracker on.
  • The first race ends with a 'hard crash' as described here at the moment when #21 - C. Meier (WRT Shark) disconnects after 4 hours, 9 minutes and 22 seconds. All laps done after this moment are then subtracted from the results. (See race1/complete and race1/corrected in the attached zip).
  • The amount of laps from the first race are added up to the amount of laps from the second race and then sorted.
  • Teams having equal laps are then sorted by finishing order of the second race.
  • This procedure is done in the excel file you find in the attached zip.
If you disagree with the calculations or don't understand something (I can imagine the excel file or the tracker files look a bit like black magic to you), contact us before the stated deadline on admins at mastersofendurance dot eu (email). So also in case you don't understand something, just drop us a line and it's enough to prevent the standings from becoming official.

Positions in Part 1 seems ok but we were never down by 2 laps from Cyber.
The fartest we were down was apporx 1 and a half lap around 3h 45 mins after the start, shortly before the crash. At the same time #22 was within seeing distance from #04 on the track and 1 lap down.

Edit: Uhm, sorry, maybe we were down by 2 sometime during after all. As it seems Cyber had a pit stop in the subtracted laps, and that can be confusing on this short track.
Technical problems after 1st driver change, crash in the first lap of the 2nd race and 2 disconnects contributed to our -12 laps
Very unlucky for the Infinity guys, after getting prepared to quickly and being so competitive to be struck by all of that is a real shitter.

Wasn't our luckiest race either, from a black screen on the 3rd lap for about 5 seconds and a nooby mistake into the corner at the end of the straight, the start was less than perfect, also the tyre blow at the end of the stint. :/

It was going well though and even though we had just made a pitstop before the race was stopped, seems other peoples mis fortunes handed us 3rd place after a rotton start to race #2. Have no idea whether to call it lucky or unlucky really. :P

Norbi, yes what your saying is probarly true but the ending of the race 1 really helps those who were nearing the end of their stints. I seem to remember you guys doing 55 min stints (or there about) so maybe you made a pitstop and cyber got lucky and made there pit stop after the time ffrom that race was put toghether.

Edit : Damn, just saw your edit Norbi.
Being at the end of your stint or just having made a pitstop is one thing, but the main thing is that if you are 1.5 lap behind, there is a timespan of about 30 second in which you are 2 laps behind for the system. There is no way to correct that.
I'm not sure but it seems to me that the tracker stopped counting the laps exactly when Cyber crossed the line. That means that all the other teams lost one lap to Cyber as their laps were not counted anymore. That's why I think that every team is actually one lap less behind Cyber than stated in the provisional result. This doesn't change any positions at all but it may be an explanation for the missing lap Norbi was talking about.

Edit: Well, like Frank said.

If that is the case there is a way to correct it: give Cyber only 326 laps
sod that, give them 236
Quote from Norbi :

But what about the car that passed the finish 10 seconds before Cyber? Should I also subtract that lap from their total?

What I mean is, you have to draw a line somewhere, and for some it is favourable and for others it isn't. I am not happy with it either, but I think it is the most fair way globally seen.
I'm not sure I understand corrently the whole thing, so I'm sorry if I say something wrong.
But I guess you can't rely on the tracker if the race isn't really finished and the cars keep on going in the replay because you'll always have that time window where you can get wrong results. So probably the fair solution is to correct the last lap manually based on the apparently known flaw.
At a red flag situation the tracker should counting laps until the last car on the track before the leader has finished it's lap and of course if the leader is within that time window and does another lap that should be subtracted from them to get the corrent results. I think.

Edit: It's lucky now, cause there is still a whole lap between positions, so it won't change anything, but maybe next time something like this happens there won't be, and this will become a serious problem.
I think the correct way to do it would be to go back 2 laps for the leader before the event happened, and get the result of the first part of the race from how everybody crosses that finish line after the leader (that's the last lap everybody have deffinately completed, that's why 2 laps back). That's how they do it in F1, and probably in many other series, and that's what I had to do for one race in our Serbian league (had to watch that moment in replay many times and it was a mess at that s/f line as some were going to the pits and some gained positions just meters after that line and all sorts of stuff).

I guess it's too late for this cause you already have procedures written for this kind of event using the tracker.
We will discuss this before making the results final.
We have looked into it and comparing to the effect of race-stopping procedures have in other race classes, the standings should indeed be different. Here is a quote from the FIA GT regulations.

Quote :Should it become necessary to suspend the
race because the circuit is blocked by an accident or
because weather or other conditions make it
dangerous to continue, the clerk of the course will
order red flags to be shown at all marshal posts and
the abort lights to be shown at the Line.
When the signal is given overtaking is forbidden, the
pit exit will be closed and all cars must proceed slowly
to the red flag line where they must stop in staggered
formation. If the leading car on the track is not at the
front of the line, any cars between it and the red flag
line will be waved off to complete another lap one
minute before the race is resumed.

So what would have happened in our situation is this:
  • the red flag would have been waved just 1 second after cyber crossed the line.
  • the other cars would have driven to the start/finish line and staggered there.
  • cyber would be the last car joining the line, since no overtaking would have been allowed.
  • the complete field would be allowed to drive a lap to make sure cyber is in front of the line.
So the effect would be that the complete field (except cyber and prodrive) gets one lap added. ProDrive does not get that lap since they were not on the server (or in the case of the regulations, would be a car standing besides the track).

This would lead to the following results

1 #04 - Cyber Racing 327 laps
2 #08 - tHUNder Racing +1 laps
3 #20 - Mercury Racing Team +2 laps
4 #05 - POD - virtual racing +3 laps
5 #22 - #low-racing +3 laps
6 #02 - OCRANA +4 laps
7 #18 - GRENTIS Racing Team +4 laps
8 #11 - 1ST » Racing +5 laps
9 #09 - High FiDelity Racing +5 laps
10 #06 - masterblasters e.V. +7 laps
11 #01 - n!faculty +8 laps
12 #14 - Triple 7 Racing +9 laps
13 #12 - team XFR +10 laps
14 #17 - Zwarte Wind Racing +11 laps
