I have live for speed S2v and whenever I try and get a set-up from a website or someone sends me a setup on line, it shows in the settings folder, but doesn't show during the game in the garage. How can this be fixed.

When you're downloading them from the web, chances are it's a naming problem. For example:

"XR_GT_TURBO_FE3WR.set" needs to be renamed to "XR GT TURBO_FE3WR.set"

As for sets sent online, they should show up, don't know how that can go wrong. They definately show in the settings folder?

actually they haven't showed up in the folder. why is this? what are the .col files?

color files, they have nothing to do with the setups
if they dont show up in the folder make sure u saved them in there (or copied them in).

well this is when people send them to me on multiplayer.

u just click on the green S, give the set a name and it does save it into ur settings folder, directly after that u can go into the pits and take that set.
ive never heard that sets dont save or disappear

f500racer77 I also had a download problem with a set up for an F08 and it showed up in settings folder, but not garage...

however, thanks to bob smith's tip of renaming it. It showed up and managed to leave some rubber on the track where it had never been before!

if you dloaded sets from Setup Field with IE7, then you had a problem with setups not showing up in the garage. It was an IE7-related bug on our side.

It's been fixed, so you don't have to bother with wrong setup filenames anymore.
