I'm not a newbie (much) when it comes to LFS...

But I do use a mouse and keyboard, I never really minded using a M & KB, but now as I have improved, I have seen how much of a dis-advantage I'm at. For example, when in the FOX @ Aston Club, when I "hit the power" out of the first corner, the real wheels just spin and I lose control, or I can pump the throttle which still leaves me scrubbing off speed.

I have been looking at getting the G25, or I am jumping into the deep end ny getting such a top wheel when I have no wheel experince.

Do you recommend I start off with the DFP, use that for a couple months, then buy the G25.

If you can afford G25 , go ahead to buy one. The larger diameter of the wheel , double-motor FFB, better pedals, shifters, there is nth to do with a newb or experienced lfs racers. You can still switch from H-shift to sequential from time to time, and it's more flexible for you.

No matter what wheel you get you may end up being slower at first as alot of people find out. Give it a few days / weeks and you will be setting faster times and if you try the kb or mouse yu cant drive anymore lol.
As for the wheel, i agree with above, what wheel you get doesn't matter in the overal sense as its more the pedals that are an advantage. Though i would say if you can afford and are willing to spend the money on a g25 go for it its a very very nice wheel.
If not there are cheaper alternatives like driving force pro (dfp) or el cheapo ones but i would suggest dfp but if you have the money g25.

Agreed, unless you particularly need 2 wheels, just go straight to the G25 (if you can afford it any find anywhere with stock). I might have used my Momo once since getting the G25. It's just sitting under an old desk getting incredibly dusty atm.
