so how do i chase cars or stick the camera on one car with shift U mode?

There's a button in the bottom left called "Follow <driver>", where <driver> is the car to which the camera is nearest.

And, sorry if this wasn't what you meant but anyway, if you want to really "stick" a camera to a car, say you set a camera on the hood and it stays there, maybe looking forward all the time.

Options -> View -> Custom -> change draw-something to body and then move around the x y z bars.
