unequal tires temperature / wear
Hi there, pit gods !!!!!

I'm trying to learn a lots by my own about setups, I'm quite happy since I was able to improve my best lap time of 2 seconds. Well it took me a week of test to find the right setup but i'm still learning...

There is something that I can't correct so I need a couple of advice:

On blackwood gp, the left side tires reach the good temperature after 3 or 4 laps, but the right side tires are still "blues" 10 degrees below the optimal temperature. I keep going on driving for dozen of turns, but I always have a big difference of tires temperature / wear between the left and right.

In fact I deduce that I don't use the full potential of the right side tires, so I think that I may correct somethings...

How could I improve the load on the right side tires, is there any possibility to balance the weight a bit more on this side?

Thanks for your advice.
Some tracks just naturally are more prone to use one side of the car than the other . . Blackwood bing one of them. It's a clockwise track (Normally) with some very heavy load right handers, that one at the end of the straight for example. Not alot you can do. You could run slightly less pressures on the right wheels but go to far and the car will be unbalanced. Adjust camber (I do this, no reason why both wheels should be cambered identically if it benefits you in corner to change them.) but again if you adjust to far you will loose left hander benefits.

It is just one of those things. You can make some minor adjustmenets but you will find tracks that anhilate one tyre more than the others.

You can also try positioning your driver on the right for better balance.
Yeah, there is not much you can do about this. However, if you are hotlapping, you can slide the ride side more heavily than the left to get a higher temperature, then when the right side cools down, it will be optimal for the lap.
Its simple really. If your driving a front wheel drive car, the front wheels will get worn most, and generally, if the circuit you are driving is left handed, it will wear faster on the right hand tyres because thats what the weight is on during the corners.

Opposite for different drive and corner :P

Where else would you put the driver?

The rear seat judging by some of the FOV values folks have posted back in that thread?
If you're happy with the car's balance, decrease the right-side pressures. Lower pressure will keep them at the same temps as the left-side tires while taking less load. This is the standard fix for setups at tracks that favor one side. In general, lower pressures lead to increased temps and wear and better mechanical grip at low speeds.
