New Computer - LFS files
Hi Guys,

I've just built a new system and going to transfer files across..

I plan to put LFS on this new computer and then remove it from the old one when everything working ok.

What files or folders do i copy from my old LFS directory to ensure that i keep all my preferences, setups etc etc?

Cheers,

Dru.

You're pretty safe to just copy the whole LFS folder across, unless you're having problems and want a fresh install.

If you're going with a fresh install you should copy the cfg.txt file and you're script, settings, skins and skins_x folder across to keep your settings. If you have custom engine sounds you'll also need the engine and sound folders. If you installed any custom textures you ight want to copy your dds folder across as well.

I'd just use your old LFS folder on the new pc :thmub:

Cheers Davo, I'll do the fresh and just copy the few folders and the file you mention - as i don't have any custom things on it...

..also i wonder why i notice your posts more often nowadays

(When Davo changes his avatar this will no longer make sense)

/LFS/card_cfg.txt
/LFS/deb.log
/LFS/interface_cfg.txt
/LFS/cfg.txt
/LFS/data/misc
/LFS/data/settings
/LFS/data/views (if you customize your driving position)
/LFS/data/script (if you have any)
