What's the only other creature........excluding man...that can kill you from a distance.

Spitting cobra? I'm also tempted to say a monkey could be trained to kill people in some kind of rudimentary fashion (throwing rocks, pressing a button to fire a gun etc). That may not be in the spirit of the question though. A beaver could fell a tree right into the path of a passing park ranger. A mountain goat could bleat and cause an avalanche, engulfing some passing mountaineers in the ensuing stampede of powder.

We have a Wiener...I would also have excepted the spitting tree frog...lays in wait and shoots a messy glob on it's prey...

I would think the Cobra would be worse.

While a chimp can be taught to hate ( which is sad) it will not fight man for Earth...they would have done it by now.

That being said...a Chimp does not have the rotater cup ( in your shoulder)...makes all the throws go wild, hence..chimps didn't get Vista.

what about that porcupine thingy that shoots quills out its rear end? Get one of them in an unlucky place and you wont be too healthy

Or would an elephant dumping on you from on top of a cliff be considered safe?
