It's not the server siunce you're getting a reply when pinging it. It could be your windows firewalll setting or any other firewall you have installed. It could be your router playing up for some reason, perhaps resetting it will fix things.

i know two more demo guys in another forum they can't connect to master server having the same error message up there in the previous post.They tried everything including the firewalls and dns things and downloading a fresh copy... Still can't connect.

done al thosse things ant stil i cant make conection whit the lfs server

i check the fire whal and lfs is inn the list of programe that ma go .
no other fire wal
and nothing hase change sinds i lost play lfs so thats straings

Either way, my previous post meant : did you take the 'netstat -an' screenshot _immediately_ after you tried to unlock?

Netstat shows you a list of connections (and usually also connections that have just closed). Therefore i'm hoping to see 213.40.196.103:29339 in that list. But if it's not there, then it might mean that LFS simply cannot create a connection in the first place.
I'm not at all familiar with windows firewall, but I wouldn't know what else it could be - maybe zonealarm if you have that - maybe you need to re-add LFS to the windows firewall, in case you went from LFS version V to V2 - all these are things that you must try yourself. I cannot really help with this. It's basic home-networking. Something that everybody on the internet should know in my humble opinion.

I have also been running a tcpdump process (that shows me internet-packets) on the master server for a while now using your (and matjomj's) IP, to see if anything came through. But no master-server activity has been detected from either IP.

As you said, the IP address of the Master Server doesn't shows into the dos box, so I might look for something like my firewall or a router bad configured
