Please help, before it goes POP!

Do you advise to get a new case or fans or what? I'm a hardware n00b and don't want to fry the Missus compy!
Everything but the motherboard temp is fine.. It's possible that the motherboard doesn't have a temp probe, therefore it's not an accurate reading.
yes, it's accurate
#4 - Davo
I doubt it's accurate. Although I'm more worried about running 1.78v on your cpu.
I've just been advised by someone from YOYOtech (shop on Tottenham court road, London) to get some thermal paste. What brand of paste can you reccomend? Thanks for your help Davo and nice Avatar!
For thermal paste I would recommend Artic Silver 5
If your CPU is clean with no paste on it then just the above would do, but to clean old paste off use something like Articlean

Thank you very much! Would you advise changing the voltage going to the cpu or could that just cause more problems?
#8 - Jakg
erm, 1.6v vcore is THE max you go on HIGH END air cooling

try 1.45v
We've fitted a psu and gpu and it's changed to that on it's own! How would I change it?
#10 - Jakg
go into the bios and check whats its set too, although was your CPU under load when you checked the temps? if so, it might just be a faulty reading
It's set at + 1.8v and is running at 1.77v! However CPU2 is running at 1.33! We can't change it via BIOS either. Help! I'm bamboozled by this!
#12 - Jakg
erm, if its set to 1.8v in the bios then something funkys going down

give your CPU 100% load for 5 mins and then telll me the temps, and tell me what mobo you have
ATI RS480 and shall I run lfs and benchmark to test it?
#14 - Jakg
....ok, although that wont do both cores

an app called "Orthos" will, though

An ATi Mobo?
yeah, ati
#16 - Jakg
well i HIGHLY doubt it lets you select that much vCore, sounds like a misreading
cpu temp is 92C and board temp 37c
#18 - Jakg
CPU TEMP IS 92?!?!?!?!?!?!

go into the bios and set it to 1.45v, if its running at 92 and 1.85v your CPU has weeks to live
I can't change it in the bios. It won't let me highlight it to change it
#20 - Jakg
Grab Speedfan and tell me the number it shows in the taskbar
You should stop it if the CPU hits 80+ C, you don't want it running any hotter than that, even for short amounts of time (one hour).
#22 - Jakg
...? on an AMD 55°C = Max, 60 degrees C is shortening its life.

Even 1337 overclockers running cascade coolers dont use 1.8 vCore, it will KILL the cpu in weeks/months
Quote from Jakg :...? on an AMD 55°C = Max, 60 degrees C is shortening its life.

Nonsense. Running CPU on too high temps is not very good, but it's not going to brake instantly. The computer is going to crash because of an calculation error long before the CPU breaks down if you have atleast some cooling (ie. a heatsink). I have seen a lots of CPUs running at 70+ C just fine for a long periods of time. The rule of thumb is if it works it isn't broken.
#24 - Jakg
which CPU's? old Athlon XP's and Duron's cores are made with higher nm (ie 180 nm), so run hotter, but over 60 degrees on an A64 WILL shorten its life

if his cpu hits 90 under load im suprised he has a CPU LEFT!
#25 - Davo
I think your monitoring software has just gone haywire and is reporting the wrong readings for some reason. I don't think mobos would even let you set the voltage that high. You might have to enable some overclocking opiotns to access the voltage settings in your BIOS. I don't trust Everest.
