Here are my settings for the G25. I find I get great feedback on rumble strips etc, on some impacts my whole desk shakes. I have forces set to 20% in game on average, it changes with the car. If you use more rotation degrees then the forces value should go up along with it. I use 270 because it's nice and easy to drive

I use 112% ffb in windows, and then anywhere between ~ 15% and 40% in lfs. No the wheel doesnt rumble when going over but i can feel the change in ffb when i am on a curb. Also if i race any south city track going over all the bumps at times the ffb is so sharp. Maybe the smaller ffb effects are getting lost with the g25 but i would still say its 10x better ffb than ive used before.
@Davo: spring effect and damper effect strength should really be set to zero as far as I am concerned, but if you like it that way, it's fine of course.

@Flight: Yesterday I tested what you described to see if I have the same problems with my DFP and only didn't notice them before, but I must say, it's really hard to tell. I took the FOX on As club reverse and fooled around a little, went over the curbs as often as possible, trying to keep the wheel straight or turned. And one thing I know for sure is, when I hold it straight and have front wheels loaded (under braking f.e.), rumble strip feeling is quite pronounced. However, when front wheels are not loaded (under acceleratrion f.e.) there is almost no rumble present. Also, I'm certain that I do feel the rumbling when the wheel is only turned slightly and at least one front wheel is loaded (under cornering for example). Where I couldn't really feel anything was, when I turned the wheel quite a lot while going over the curbs. But I would need a more scientific approach to be able to tell if there really is no rumble. Problem is, that it is affected by so many variables like grip or the load on the wheels. Also, it seemed to me, that the curb itself may make a difference. I'm not sure if they are all modelled in the same way (on some, the teething might be rather pronounced, while it might be only very subtle on others). Overall, I do think that the feeling is very nice, though. It does feel very realistic to me and very informative. I also think that the rumble effects could be a little stronger, though. But that's probably because I'm using only 20-30 % ffb strength ingame and 103 % in the profiler.

And one more thing: I haven't tested it recently, but I remember feeling the train tracks on the SO tracks through the wheel, no matter if it was turned or not. So, if that's there, I would assume that the curb-rumbling is also there.

Well, this post is not much help, I guess, but maybe I'll find the time to do more extensive testing. And in case you will be doing more testing, make sure to try it on a curb that's on the outside of a turn in order to have at least one front wheel loaded as much as possible.
Can't get rid of center slop
New G25 feels like the car I'm driving needs new tie-rod bushings...there's about 5 degrees of slop in the middle where steering wheel effect and ffb are essential nill. Tried turning 'remove deadzone' on and off with no relief. Tried turning centering springs on and off in windows and profiler with no relief.

I have a vague recollection that such an issues solved on black momo, but I'll be damed if i can find it searching here of in Google.

Anyone have any suggestions?
Why does everyone use small FFB settings? I use 100% in windows and 100% in LFS, it's a job to full lock the GTR's, but the rest of the cars are very easy to turn....

Try to set FFB over 100% percent in the profiler, as there is a reduction of forces around the center position programmed into the drivers... Going over 100% disables this reduction, which might be what you're experiencing...
Absolutely have overal force in windows set at ca. 112%!

Others at 0% and centering deselected.

Just change the force level in LFS with the < and > buttons.

This should bring out the curbs and a lot of other details.

This makes it really problematic as in LFS I'm already using 18% or less with 60% and in practise forces are very strong, too strong for my neck if set so high in profiler. Also as force effects are so slow it is really stupid feeling when you get force effect that was meant to put to wheel when you were turning left but you are already turning right, it is like dragging bag of sand behind.
Hmm.. going over 100% won't actually increase the strength.
When your running 60% the forces become unrealistic. Try 110-120%.

The lag your talking about has more to do with the speed of your pc I guess.

Over 200fps is not enough? No it is because DFP is shitty wheel and very slow. Some say that there is also no delay when you turn wheel to when game is noticing this steering input but there clearly is delay there too, different games do have different length delay actually. Even PES6 has delay of input everything what I do is happening bit behind, take video camera and record steering input and then play it in slow motion and you see how your wheel is turning and bit later car if you can't notice this.

Can't use 100% my neck is busted after one lap, I prefer setting force feedback completely off quite often, can drive 50 laps on good day, max forces with XRG are 18% in game and 60% from control panel that I can really use.

Getting old is not an option, it is mandatory as all these fun effects that do come with it
