ive had live for speed for a while now but about a month ago it started acting up. everything still works fine it but when im racing it seems like its in fast forward. its maybe running 1.5 to 2 times the normal speed. i dont know if ive changed anything but i was wondering if i should reinstall or if i could set everything to default? thanks for any help

Have you got a force feedback gamepad by any chance?
hmm, i wouldnt mind beeing 2 times faster then my opponents
but anyway, first do the usual things, check temperatures of ur hardware, virusscan ect.
yeah i have the logitech g25. but i just got that yesturday. i was using the microsoft sidewinder but it had always worked well
Well, the G25 is a wheel, not a gamepad 
IIRC, these issues were quite often caused by some other device that is plugged in to your PC, like a wireless controller or something.

lol yeah sorry. still a little early. i stayed up playing gtr2 last night. i do have a 360 controller plugged in ill try to see if that does the trick thanks
