Can you still get S1 licenses? Even if you can, there won't be a lot of guys to join.

You can still buy an S1 licence if you send the devs £12. You'll be able to join one of the STCC servers, running the XFG and XRG. To get further in the licence system you'll need to upgrade to S2, though. Still, by the time you've got your Silver licence you may well be able to afford that stage. Then the world's your shellfish with potential pearly prize

Ill let you know one thing. You will get bored with S1 licence and will spend 98% of your time in demo. NOBODY is ever on S1 servers, other than the STCC cup. Thats litearly the only thing ever populated.

I know this because i just recently upgraded from S1 to S2. Its seriously is just worth it to keep playing demo and then just upgrade to S2 from demo.

Just my 2 cents.

If your aim was to eventually end up with S2 and also to save money (who isn't in this boat?), you'll spend less buying S2 outright. If you buy S1 for 12pounds today, the 12pounds additional you'll spend on S2 later on will require you to convert even more dollars, supposing exchange rates progress the way they do at the moment.

my parents can only give me 24$ us dollars so S1 it is (mostly for tweak J/K) matbe in may ill be S2 liscened

I don't understand why there aren't more S1 servers. I think that LFS should automatically switch to S1 mode if you are hosting at an S1 track with S1 cars.

Me three! I feel bad for the S1'ers, so i somtimes go into S1 to see if therse anything other than STCC with people in it. Usualy the answer is no, so i either go back to S2, or decide to hang out with my old demo buddies.

S1 hosts show up in the S2 list, so you don't have to "go into S1 to see". You will see them in the S2 list if there are any servers.

I did ask Scawen directly in a thread somewhere, the big limitation at the moment is that S1 has a maximum of 15 cars. Scawen would first need to give/accept that S1 drivers could access 20 cars (same precendent when S3 is launched maybe?) and also didn't want to spend more time programming content for S1. So sadly this wont be happening any time soon.

Just look at the number of S1 servers available, and notice that largely only the STCC one is regularly populated.

I moved ogHosts #1 to S1 a few days ago - not a soul has entered since.

Consider the mass of racers are S2 licenced and that as of 15 minutes ago only 39 servers, out of all 560 (licenced) had racers in, thats not surprising.

S1 racers roughly fit the statistics when you scale them down - if anything S1 might even have a slightly higher population.
