Looks good and nice but imho the colors need tweaking. Take a look at tonix's MRT skin and see what he has done to make good to perfect. Using color slides (sp...) and textures can really make the skin look a lot better.
To be honest you have got the layout done, it just needs the artistic touch to make it finished
Therein lies my biggest problem, I'm not artistic at all. Its a miracle i've got this far!! I don't have the artistic flair to know how to move a plain skin to a great skin........

EDIT
Just looked at Tonix's skin and that is leagues away from where i'm at!!
Those extra swirls look really effective, but I would never have thought of doing that.
That is by far the hardest part. To invent a design that works and looks good. Especially to get the basic theme which you then start building the look.
It always helps if you check some real racing cars and/or racing sim skins to get new ideas. You may want yo just fool around with your graphics software, there are always some few nice effects which can give you some new ideas and isnpirations. And it is always useful to look at the skin with fresh eyes, doing a skin for 10 hours straight doesn't always mean that it looks good on the next morning
Also using a lot layers can help, especially to save time. And it is easy to experiement with different effects and styles if you learn to use mask layers. On the long run it is easier and more convenient.
