Aah, it was Jemeni with the zero. Damn, they were just skin-crawlingly bad weren't they? I really did expect better, I mean the UK are great at bad pop music, but Jemeni were scraping the filthy underside of the barrel, not just the bottom

Thanks for the Israel answer  I wonder if they could enter Miss USA too - they have quite a close relationship
Not just Israel. I don't consider Turkey to be part of Europe either (Turkey is in ESC and wants to be in EU). If you say that it is Europe because it has a little bit land on Europe's side, then Spain should enter African Union too.
LOL, has anyone actually heard Israels entry?? Listen here track called push the button.

Czech entry isn't much better either by Kabat!

Is actually ANY song not harmful for the ears or do you have to mute the TV for the first 2 hours of the broadcast and only hear the results?
Just take some painkillers - we Down Here begin watching Eurovision only after we've downed a frosty stein or three

Well the track by Kabat the Czech rock band representing Cz for teh first time isnt actually painfull for the ears, its not a bad song and Kabat are a well respected band with some good tracks, unfortunatelly i dont think its their best track that they have picked to sing at the eurovosion, track is called "Mada Dama" listen to it on their myspace. The only problem is, they sing in czech so not many people will understand the song and with Kabat it is mostly about the words in their songs so I think this will hurt them badly if they get to the final. Nevertheless I am proud that Cz didnt enter some cheesy pop crappy band but instead a descent rock band.

We knew the guy who wrote the song that year, and he was a right knob. It was nice to see what a total disaster it was.

It was pretty obvious that they couldn't hear a thing on stage though - no two vocalists could sing a harmony duet without being able to hear the music or eachother. That's not to say it wasn't hilarious, because it was, but I don't think it was the fault of the performers.
