Is there any way to up the amount of AI drivers on the track? Sometimes I get board and like to watch AI Formula 1 races. Would like to have a full grid instead of 12.
nope, 12 is the max.
more AI's would eat that much cpu that an average pc couldnt handle it no more.
maybe we get more later, but i wouldnt count on it soon.
For those of us with more powerful PC's, it would be a nice option to have. My 2.6GHz AMD has no problem with full 11 AI races, the start is the only time when I get FPS drop, and at its worst its still completely fluid (>=35fps). I'm confident that I would still be fluid with close to 20 AI racers. Newer Core2Duo's probably could do even more.
I'd really love to have the option of more AI:
-Sometimes its nice racing not having to totally focus online.
-Pausing and not having to worry about ruining a real Person's race from your mistake
-I love setting up makeshift "trackdays", 60 min qualify with lots of different classes. You loose the track map which teaches you to watch the mirrors, as well as teaching the AI how to pass. Would be great with more cars on the track.
4 years ago, 11 AI max was a reasonable number, but we could definatly handle more Today.
It wouldn't be a hard programming to change would it?
(edit- I know this isn't a priority for LFS, just something 'easy' that would add to some people's enjoyment of LFS)
