hey well i have the gimp and i have been told it will open the files for the car skins but when i open them it comes up saying that the file is unknown?

What file type are you trying to open?

it is an .rar file?

then extract it?

yea ok kool but i have tried everything! that i can think off!

file->open archive...

or you can probably right click the rar file and extract it from there.
it really doesn't get any simpler than that.

it still doesnt work it keeps coming up with unknown file!

please don't take offense to this question as it is just a shot in the dark, but you have installed gimp and winrar, correct?

1) Download WinRAR.
2) Install WinRAR.
3) Double-click .rar file.
4) WinRAR will open with the contents of the .rar file.
5) Click extract and tell it to where you want to extract the files.
6) Load the extracted files with Gimp (I'm guessing they're image files...).

In case you're still confused, a rar file is very similar to a zip file(considering you know what zip is). It's just a different way to compact several files into one.

yes it is a picture file it is the template for a XFG car to make a skin!

I will try again i might not have done it properly and yes they are images, the XFG skin template.

well when it comes up to upload an attachtment, you know how it comes up with all the different files bellow and there maximun size well it doesnt say .rar file maybe that is why?
