Hi all,

I'm using a Logitech Rumblepad 2 (2 analog sticks, d-pad, etc), and LFS will randomly switch the D-Pad with the left analog stick. As i'm using that stick for steering, it leaves with very bad steering. Is this a known issue, or is there something wrong with the controller?

Do you have any driver for that pad? You might want to get an updated version.

Updating the driver didn't work, LFS still thinks the D-Pad is the left axis and vice-versa...

Did you check the guide recommended by CSU? It might be just a incorrect calibration/setup issue.

Yes I did, but I had it calibrated correctly and working, until it switched the d-pad with the left axis. Reinstalling the driver did work for a bit, but afterwards it switched again.

Thats strange. I dont know why LFS would keep switching from axis to button
All I can think of atm is the analogue button on the pad may be faulty...

Does LFS recognise the left axis in options/controls/axis? If so set steering to use the axis and tell me when it reverts back to d-pad.

The problem is that LFS "thinks" the Dpad is the axis. I can assign it to steering, but it's as if the axis and the pad are switched, so steering would always be controlled the D-pad. I have the views assigned to the d-pad, and they seem to be controlled by the axis now.

Looking back that seems a bit confusing, let me know if you don't understand what I was trying to say...

Are you using any logitech callibration software?

What does windows make of it in control panel/controllers? Does it see all buttons and two axis?

It's switched there too, so it's not LFS that's acting weird. But as far as I can see it's setup OK in the Logitech profiler. Strange...

unplug pad, Remove logitech profiler and its driver and install the pad using windows gamepad drivers...

Seems to be working now, I just hope it doesn't switch again

Np, you may find the windows drivers dont support the rumble feature, best bet is to remove all drivers and install an updated logitech driver in that process dont let windows install a driver at the same time as the logitech driver

I also have that gamepad and when these things happened to me, I had hit the "Mode" button on the controller, which does just that (Switch from d-pad to the joystick) You'll know if it's what happens to you because the little red light shows on when the mode is switched
