Better Driving Force Pro and G25 Support
I suggested that before (I think in the RSCNet Forums long time ago).

Many of us have this nice 900 Degree Wheels. And LFS has this nice collection of Cars which have Steering Ratios from ~720 Degrees to ~180 Degrees. When I set up my DFP / G25 correctly the Ingame Wheel moves exactly like the Real one (1 Degree in Game is 1 Degree in Reality). But at some degree the Wheel in the Game stops, but my DFP / G25 not.

It could be solved by applying some constant Force to the Wheel when the maximum Lock is reached. It worked great in Richard Burns Rallye on the Playstation 2 so it could be done for LFS too.

1. No, setting the Degree of Rotation Setting in the Profiler is not a solution. Because you have to leave the Game and set the new Setting whenever you change the Car in LFS.
2. I know that you can turn your wheel beyond this artificial barrier when you apply enough force. But it felt good in RBR and I clearly knew when I reached max Lock without looking at the Steering wheel in the Game.

It would be just nice if this gets finally implemented as the # of G25 / DFP Users is rising and it would making Wheel support in LFS perfect.
Good idea I'm no programmer but can't see it being to difficult to it set that X degrees rotation 100% ffb (although in lfs its 200% irrc)

might be wrong but if you change the degrees in game don't you just hit the 'recalibrate axes' and then turn your wheel left and right for this to happen? rather than leave the game? or at least, just shift-F4 out and change the profiler whislt still 'ingam' then hit the recalibrate to change the axis, rather than just the C button.

Dru.

If you set your wheel thingy in the profile thingy in control pannel to 720 and in game to 720 the FF will be xtra strong trying to stop you going past that, the only thing i want is a decent clutch thingy for my g25, and to be able to stall

Yes that's all good but it's the OP is saying it's a pain to drive a car with 720 of lock then swap to a SS and have 400 lock and have to change the settings in the profiler. It'd be good if lfs itself imposed a force feedback 'lock' at the appropriate amount of turn.

This doesn't bother me because I only use 270 for everything.

+1

I always thought it would be nice to have this...

if you are on about FF end stops, yep would be good.

The clutch needs better support as well. At the moment I use DXTweak to make the axis on the clutch act like a clutch.
bwah, I just shift f4, profiler is already open, change the value and race!
although it would be handy =)

maybe it would be even cooler if it was auto...?

+1 though!

I like it. If the profiler can do it I see no reason why it can not be done ingame and it would make it far easier.
This would be a very nice feature for G25/DFP owners IMHO +1
btw: anyone got some good g25 scripts?
