Quote from johnfromsunnymull :Yea fingers crossed and yea dont worry i will i mean shoes only last well for me about 4-5 months LFS pretty much a lifetime!

Man, what are you doing with your shoes?

My shoes last for years, many many years, but I don't bite them too often either, LFS might last 10 or perhaps 15 years, shoes maybe 6-10 years, but I don't think much more as by then there is so much faster computers that it should be possible to make much complicated simulating then, of course thing is if anyone bothers, there seem to be not many that really are trying to make realistic driving sims.
well erm....i play football and well like to get new shoes every 4-6 months and they have to be white lol so my shoes do get dirty! and yea i suppse but im sure it will last longer than that! how long has LFS been going for?

From 2002

You can always wash shoes too, no need to get new ones every time they get dirty
..
it might depend on how u got the money. if its the pocket money u got from ur parents they could feel responsible on how u spend it coz its basically theirs. try to 'earn' the money in a proper way .. mowin the lawn par example

yes i have earned the money myself, i was asked to move beds out of a hotel and get asked every couple of days to go in and do some random jobs about the place, so yes i have earned it myself!

Thanks jamescrowe!
Good luck John, I can't see how your parents could object to LFS.

LFS teaches so much, it should be on the national curriculum
cheer duke! yea i know its just annoying and yea of course it should be lol

Hahaha, how much would children like that! Also the Devs would too, lots of money for them then! :o

Oh man that's pwnage..

1. You better get ya self a job then (even if it has to be a paper boy job)

2. Get ya self a bank account.. Preferebly a basic one for your age.

that way my mom n dad dont care wut i buy...

I saved up n bought myself a dual core custom rig .. i feel well proud!..

Half of my money goes towards my car now ..

Hmm, you do notice that talking to yourself looks funny?

Bank account and sending money to devs is then one good possibility, however I find it weird why she says that she won't let you have LFS never, only reason I can find is that you are not doing home stuff or other things she asks or then she has some weird issues, very confusing this is
Here is the solution in a few easy steps:

Get cash saved up.
Go to Post Office.
Queue for ages.
Ask nice lady (or man!) for a £24.00 Postal Order (don't forget to say please!)
Put Postal Order in Envelope.
Put Letter in Envelope telling Victor who you are..(User Name etc!!)
Put Address on front of envelope along with a stamp (You can get them from the Post office too!!)
Put Envelope in post box.
Wait for a few days.
Check to see if Victor has unlocked your account on LFS homepage (User Details section!)

Like I said,....EASY!!!!

Failing that, send ME a postal Order for £24 and I will pay Victor with my Sparkly Credit (or Debit, depending on mood at the time) card!
yes i know very confusing? och i dunno she has allways been like that with spending money on games like PS2 and stuff like that but oh well! its just another bump in life i have to get over i suppose!

Yes, well use the method Bladerunner is suggesting, should be quick and easy

That's a refreshing attitude from you, and I mean that most sincerely.
One last attempt....
I imagine when your 17 your parents will help you by paying for some driving lessons.
Currently it's £22 an hour down where i live. The average amount of tuition is around 30 hrs (trust me..my Dad was a driving instructor)

You will learn a lot about the basics of of control from LFS, therefore giving you a headstart over non sim drivers, and saving you a good few lessons.
Baring in mind by the time you start driving lessons they will probably be nearer £30 an hour, investing in LFS will save your parents at least £60

That my theory anyway

If that doesn't convince them, i don't know what will.

Hmm, don't know if that is going to work as from their point of view it could be that you have taken family matter to public board and they can ban even Interenet from you then
