I'm assuming something like this:
Internet <---> Cable Modem <---> Wireless home router <~~~> your PC(s)/Laptop(s)?
If so there are 2 things you may need to do.
1. Open up the ports required to run the server on your Wireless home router, and
2. Open the ports required in Norton
Step 1 is going to be required. Step 2 depends on what version of Norton, and which Norton product you have specifically.
I can't tell you how to open the ports in your router, unless you let us know what make and model it is.
With regards to Norton, assuming it has a firewall built in, and assuming it's Norton Internet Security 2007 (if you just have Norton Antivirus just disregard this):
Open up LFS.
You might see a window pop up from Norton. If you do, select Allow Always from the What do you want to do drop down box. Click ok.
Minimize LFS (Shift+F4)
Open up the Norton Internet Security 2007
Click the Norton Internet Security tab
Click the Settings page header to expand it
Click on Personal Firewall
Click the Configure button that dropped down
If it's not already selected, select the "Ask me what to do" option. Turning that option on will cause the firewall to ask you before allowing a new program to communicate with the internet. Uncheck the Automatically customize Internet access settings for common programs checkbox. We want to know what the firewall is allowing out of your computer
Click the Program Control link on the left hand side
Find LFS in the list of programs, and click it to highlight it
Click Modify
Select the rule in this list where the direction equals inbound or In/OUT. Once selected, click Modify.
If you do not see that rule, then click the Add button. There should be one inbound and one outbound rule for this program.
Select the Allow option. Then click the Connection tab at the top of the window.
Select "Connections from other computers" option. Then click the Computers tab at the top of the screen.
Make sure "Any Computers" is selected.
Goto the Communications tab.
The protocol you want to allow drop down box should have TCP and UDP in it. Select "Only communications that match all types and ports listed below".
Click the Add button.
Under Filter By, select "Individually specified port" and type 29339, and under Locality select Local.
Under Filter By, select "Individually specified port" and type 63392, and under Locality select Local.
Click the Ok button
Goto the Description tab, and make sure it says something like LFS - just so you know what it is.
Just keep clicking ok until you get back to the main Norton window, which you can then close.
I can't guarantee those instructions will work, as I don't have Norton IS 2007 to hand to test.
I will say this, running a LFS server on a wirelessly connected device isn't an amazing idea, because of how wireless works - packets get bunched together and sent in larger chunks, and naturally the signal could get distorted / may not reach you for some reason, etc. etc.
Running a LFS server also requires a fair bit of bandwidth.
I will also point out that only 87/603 licenced servers are occupied, Whilst this figure is different for the demo, there are a lot of servers out there.
There are also people whom you can rent servers from, such as HPR-network, 500servers, etc.
I'm not trying to put you off the idea, and we'll help as far as possible, but I just think you should have all the facts and tidbits of information to continue
