Jack.M's Soundpack V1

Hello! I've been working on these sounds ever since the sound editer came about. Thanks for that Scawen! I've kept these relatively secret, apart from giving a few out to close friends. Alot of them aren't as good as some of DaveWS'. But I did give all the cars some tweaking.

I take the most pride in my XRT sounds, especially the FD3S sound. That is one of my favourites. I also love my FO8's LoudV8 sound, thats amazing on my headphones.

Previews work now. FZ5 one was crackled, during the recording I lost FPS. So i've left that one out.

all i hear from the previews on the FZ's are 100% clippage

as for the sound previews... couldn't you have stepped on it atleast once or did you do a lap around a track idling the whole time?

Whoahh thats wierd. It rendered the sounds at 1X speed, when I set it to 4X speed. Damn, hold on..I'll update the files.

Erm the previews seem to be playing at a fraction the speed they should??

sorry but i dont like the previews at all. They sound like an old 80s racing game. Perhaps they sound a little different in game.

All in all, its quite an interesting pack. Some of the sounds are quite "cool", and would be good to show LFS off with.

However the majority of the sounds are aggressive / meaty due to the aggressive clipping. The sounds rely on the clipping to sound like that, so I would find them difficult to drive with.

Conclusion: Will make you NFS fanboys happy, but not really usable for racing.
