1 Racing Application and Rules
1.0 You are required to be in the possession of a legal S2 license.
1.1 Always make sure you drive safe and clean, treat others, as you would expect to be treated yourself.
1.2 You must have had a successful application to join this league. Applying does not guarantee you a place in this league.
You must apply using this UF1000 OFFICIAL Sign UP Form
At present we will be running one division with a maximum of 20 drivers.
If however interest is high and we have an excess of applications we may try and establish a 2-division system.
If this 2-division system takes place a separate post will be made.
1.3 Round dates are posted separately in the Race & Dates post but are free to change subject to prior notice at the admin’s discretion.
1.4 Lag can seriously affect online racing experiences therefore please ensure that all un-necessary programs (like msm etc) are closed prior to an online race. If a racer is seen to have any significant lag the admin will inform the racer and resolve it prior to the race beginning. If the lag can’t be resolved immediately the racer maybe asked to not race at that time for the enjoyment of others.
1.5 In-game chatting is strictly prohibited during qualifying and races.
This means that you are only allowed to beginning chatting after all the drivers have completed their last laps of racing.
1.6 The use of Shift-S is strictly forbidden during qualifying and race session. If your car becomes stuck then you must go to spectator mode for the rest of that session. You will not be allowed to rejoin that session. If any Shift-S is observed during these sessions the racer could face exclusion from that and all future rounds.
1.7 If you cause an incident between yourself and one or more other drivers in which you gain a position you will be penalized if you do not ‘give’ this position back.
The only way to avoid this penalty is be giving your position back to the other party within 1 lap of the incident when a safe opportunity arises.
This may include giving up several positions if the other racer has lost more than one position as a result of the incident (excluding pit stops)
1.8 If the YELLOW Flag Message is shown then NO overtaking is allowed. If any illegal overtaking occurs in this situation the rules stated above in 1.7 will prevail and you could become subject to a penalty.
1.9 If a BLUE Flag is shown please respect it. The Blue flag is interpreted as faster cars that are one or more laps ahead are approaching and they have the right of way.
It is not necessary to immediately give up your position on the racing line, however you must give ample opportunity for them to pass you safely. Any race incidents or reports of drivers not respecting the Blue flag rule will be ruled upon post race. Blue flags are valid in both qualifying and race sessions.
Do not spam the chat channel with blue flag messages!
1.10 Cutting will not be tolerated in this league. To minimise the amount of cutting we have clear rules. You must keep at least 2 wheels at all times on the race track. (The race track includes the rumble strips) Failure to do so whereby the action is seen as deliberate or an attempt to win time will result in a penalty.
1.11 When using the pit lane in both qualification and race sessions you must exit and enter without crossing the yellow lines. Failure to do so will result in a points penalty after the race.
1.12 The car used in this championship is the UF1 only. You are free to choose whether you use the closed roof or open roof version of the car. You are free to choose which version you use at any race and can change as many times as you wish through out the championship. The same rule applies for driver side. Your driver can be placed in the left or right drivers seat at you own choice. This position can be changed without penalty at any stage during the season.
1.13 Your UF1 must use a skin that is of your own design or that is made available to the public. We would encourage you to create your own skin rather than use one of the games ‘default’ ones.
The skin you race in must be uploaded to LFS world.
The only stipulation on skin type is that it DOES NOT contain any un-appropriate logos or images and that if the skin is deemed to be un-fit for racing you will change it immediately upon request of the admins.
1.14 Race numbers will be issued in a separate post en-titled Race numbers once the entries to the league have been confirmed. We will issue a standard race number transfer that we would prefer you to use and also a logo that must appear somewhere on your car to make that car skin specific to this racing series.
The Race numbers and logos will become available shortly on a separate post that will be posted in the UF1000 owners Club forum.
1.15 All replays of this series will or maybe used in the future to make a video to promote either the ZWR team or the UF1000 Owners club league events etc, therefore by signing up for this league you will be giving your permission to any member of ZWR to use any of the online footage for any future promotional material. If you do not agree to this then please do not enter this league.
2 Race Format
2.1 A round will consist of one qualifying session and two race sessions at every round unless otherwise noted in the Race & Dates post.
2.2 On the day of the race the designated server will be available for free practice. The server will be password protected and this password will be issued for all competitors in good time.
The server to be used in this championship will be recorded separately in the UF1000 May-Hem Cup Race & Dates post.
2.3 Qualifying will commence at the stated time in the Race & Dates post. Qualifying will consist of a single 15-minute session, and will determine the starting order for race 1.
2.4 At the end of the qualifying session there will be 3-minute break.
2.5 There will be 1 "Lag-start" for every race, which will last approx 1 minute. This is still considered part of the racing sessions so please still drive respectfully during this time.
2.6 The first race will be the feature race and take around 30 minutes to complete, and the second race (the sprint race) will take around 20 minutes. The specific number of laps will be defined per race per round in the separate Race & Dates post.
2.7 The tracks used in all rounds will be fully detailed in the separate Race & Dates post.
Please note any changes in the schedule will be posted to the calendar will be posted in the Race & Dates post.
2.8 After the feature race there will be a 3-minute break. This break will enable the admin to load up the new track configuration for the sprint race etc. Ensure at this time that you change your car set-up and fuel amount
2.9 The sprint race starting grid will be a reverse grid based on results from the feature race. Only drivers who were classified in the feature race of the round are eligible to have their result reversed. If the driver was not classified because of a DNF, DNS or by the 80% rule, he will start at the back of the grid. All non-classified drivers will receive the grid positions by the race marshal after the classified starters have been announced. Non-classified drivers take priority over DNF and DNF take priority over DNS etc. All grid positions are at the discretion of the race marshal.
2.10 There are no mandatory pit stops in any of the feature or sprint races with the exception of the end of season enduro race where one pit stop will be mandatory. This one pit stop is only allowed between the 10th and the 20th lap in the Enduro race.
Any failure to complete a legal pit stop will result in a DSQ
2.11 If during thecourse of any race you earn your self a stop go or drive through penalty, theis must be completed before the end of the race otherwise you will record a DSQ.
3 Championship Format
3.1 Drivers score points by being classified in at least 1 race.
3.2 To be classified you need to finish within 80% of the distance driven by the winner of the race. This 80% distance will be listed for all races on the Race & Dates page.
3.3 To enter the team championship you must consist of 2 drivers only and have signed up for the team championship as well as the drivers. The two drivers that race as a team must also use the same car ‘skin’ to signify their association with each other. The only allowed exception is different race numbers (which must be different) and any colour identifying marks, such as coloured wing mirrors etc.
Any failure to race in matching skins will incur a point’s penalty.
If 1 driver can't make it, the team can make use a substitute driver by prior arrangement. Notification of this driver change must be recorded in the UF1000 Owners Club forum prior to the start of the event.
3.4 In a Feature race the point’s format will be 40pts for 1st, down to 21 points for 20th place. These points are only available for classified drivers who have completed 80% or more race distance as in rule 3.2 A Full run down of available points can be seen in the UF1000 May-hem Cup Scoring System post.
3.5 In a Sprint race the point’s format will be 20 Pts for 1st down to 1 point for 20th place finisher. These points are only available for classified drivers who have completed 80% or more race distance as in rule 3.2. A Full run down of available points can be seen in the Points Breakdown post.
3.6 Drivers can score additional points in the qualifying session. The driver with the fasted qualifying lap will gain an additional 5 championship points, second will be worth 3 points and third position will be worth 1 point.
3.7 The Driver with the fastest legal race lap in each race can score an additional 5 championship points. A legal lap which involves cutting (more then 2 wheels off the track or run off areas) or by exploiting collision bugs etc will be deemed illegal.
3.8 For the team championship the amount of points the 2-team drivers collect per race event will be added together.
3.9 If after the last round the point amounts of driver(s)/team(s) are the same, we adopt the FIA system. The driver/team who was classified higher in the previous league rounds will be given a higher position then the other driver(s)/team(s).
3.10 The driver/team with the most amount of points after all the rounds have been finished, or is entitled a higher position by the rule above if the point amount was the same, will be confirmed as the league champion.
3.11 If a driver fails to show up for a league race he will be given 3 days to reply to a personal message to reaffirm his interest in the league if he has not given any prior warning for non-attendance (i.e. an absence note)
If the driver fails to respond to this PM and has not supplied an absence note he maybe be placed on a reserve list by the discretion of the admin so any available replacements can join the league.
4 Protesting & Penalties
4.1 You must protest within 12 hours after the race ended of any incidents which you were personally involved in.
4.2 To log a protest you must post in the UF1000 forum under the appeals thread and provide car numbers involved, lap number, time of incident and your point of view of the accident. We also ask that you submit a reply file also. The admin will review this incident and resolve it (including any issuing of penalties) prior to the next round.
4.3 It is recommended that you keep your protests to major incidents.
If this system is flooded with needless 'racing incidents' then any 'serial flooder' my be subject to a penalty themselves
4.4 Depending upon the findings of the admin the penalties which may be issued could range from a time penalty, to a stop go penalty in a future round, to a disqualification of that round to a points loss or worst case disqualification of the entire championship.
4.5 All race positions and points will only be published after the conclusion of any racing protests and penalties. The decision of the race marshal and admin team will be final.
