Found nowhere to post in. How do i convert an MP3 file to an ogg file?.(i have Moby-Lift Me Up soundtrack)So how do i do this?

Download Audacity and LAME.

Open up the MP3, Export as ==> ogg. Sorted

I recently discovered Quintessential Player http://www.quinnware.com/

It's free, it has a nice interface (Winamp 2.9 days) and with a right click on the song title in it's playlist it can convert -whatever the file is- to mp3, wma, ogg, wav etc.

Just make sure you install the plugins you want from this page http://www.quinnware.com/list_plugins.php?type=encoder

Well, ive got a song that i want to put into ogg format etc.. so, i went on audacity, opened up the song i wanted, saved as "Ogg Vorbis" and then it sounds all squeaky ingame, like a mixtape on fast forward

You've probably managed to screw up the bit rates in the conversion. Oggdrop will take care of it all automatically for you - all you have to do is drag the file onto the program and its done.

:wtf2: Erm.. Well its put my .ogg file into a .wav, so then i put it back as a .ogg file and it sounds the same, i used Audacity BTW..

Right, this thread is mine, but ancient, but...

Me hack wants new music. I've got all my vgm files (and Winamp to play them), but I need to convert them to MIDI files. After, I can convert them to eXtended Module, and finally to SMPS format with Nineko's "XM3SMPS" for my hack.

Whereas I can convert MIDIs to eXtended Module, but I don't know how to convert my vgm files to MIDI. Or, if someone can be bothered to convert them for me.
