Please help!

I am totally new to PC sims and cant get a skin I downloaded to work...

how do I load it into the game?

Ok, first off, you are in the right section, so that's good.
but..
Did you even look around a bit ?! I've seen this answered a few times.
I'll see if i can find info, but between you and me, it's nothing you
can't do yourself. Also, when you have problems, you should
have at least a minimum of info for people to help you or to even
understand what the problem is. In your case, it could be many things.
What doesn't work ?! Tell us what steps you do and where it doesn't
work.

Ok, for those who don't get it, it means that if you don't do it yourself,
you'll never learn and always be dependant on others.

ok...basically I downloaded a BAR skin for one of the cars...then I saved it in the my LFS folder...

loaded up the game and there was no skin to be found...

sorry if this sounds dumb..but I am dumb..

plus has anyone got a good BAR Honda skin for the formulaXR ?

Well the skins you want to use needs to be in the skins folder within the LFS folder.

In the game, the skins present in the skins folder don't automatically appear as selections. On the garage screen you gotta choose "new" on the left hand side to create a new skin/colour set. Then under the colours tab at the bottom you can choose the texture/skin you want to apply to it (this will take you to a screen where you see filenames for every skin for that car), and choose your body and wheel colour to go with it. Body needs to be white in order to make the skin appear as intended.

Ok, look, i'll do my best, but you really would gain more by learning
these things by reading all the info. If you are indeed new, then this
will be usefull and might answer many other questions for you.

To use a skin, put it in your \skins folder. Then in game, go to the colours section in the garage and choose to make a new scheme on the right. Select the skin you want to use where it says Texture near the bottom of the screen.

You should have a look on here and RSC for the FOX skin...sure I've seen one somewhere.

You need to put identical copies in your game and online.

Upload your skin through lfsworld and place and identical copy in your skins folder in your game. If they differ it will not work.

To select your skin go into your garage and under the 'colours' tab you will have a textures button at the bottom of the screen, click it and select your skin to apply it to the car.

Now the skin should work for you on your can and should allow others to download it to see your hard work

Got my best ever finnish (4th) online with a BAR V8...great race...

but I got thrown out for spinning off the line...

I need a pad...V8s dont work well with a mouse...

You need a wheel. V8's will be quicker with mouse than with a gamepad I reckon...
