Will we be any better at this age? :D (youtube clip)
wow man all the revs but not going anywhere lol i was expectiong to hear a *BANG* lol oh well the old man was having fun! hate to see him on the road! lol
IMO not so funny, that man shouldn't have driving license anymore
There's a surprising amount of drivers on the road similar to that, although that is quite an extreme example.

The funniest thing I found was the picture warping when the cameraman was laughing.
I'm sure there is a group of people who should not be allowed to buy cars with manual transmission. The best part is that you can hear the engine still revving while he already has driven the car inside the garage. And the laughing was ...catchy
I'm all for a 'capability test' at age 70 and then every 5 years or something.. Funny as this was to look at, it shows how incapable some people are.

My brothers father in law can't move his neck anymore.. so he just basically hopes everything is ok when he turns his steering wheel... :S

And so sad at the same time

Hmm, maybe the clutch is there, after all, just to control the speed and the throttle just adjust the ...sound
LOL, funny, lot of revs, and not knowing how to park his car, poor man..
I just seen an elderly person trying to park there car in the Tescos parkinglot lol before i saw it i thought it was a boyracer! lol took them about four 3 point turns to get in to the parking space! lol wish i got a video to show u guys! it was well funny!
Father Maxi: It is sometimes hard, in times like these, to understand God's way. Why would he allow nine innocent people to be run down in the prime of their lives by a senior citizen who, perhaps, shouldn't be driving? It is then that we must understand, God's sense of humor is very different from our own. He does not laugh at the simple "man walks into a bar" joke. No, God needs complex irony and subtle farcical twists that seem macabre to you and me. All that we can hope for is that God got his good laugh and a tragedy such as this will never happen again. [screeching tires are heard]
Mr. Garrison: [rushing into the crowd] Look out!! [everyone turns to see. An elderly driver approaches them]
Elderly Driver: [somewhat short, nearsighted] Huh? Was that a stop sign back there? [the banner recedes behind him. Everyone screams and the driver begins mowing people down. He crashes into a light standard at the other end of the market] Ooooh, I think I hit a pot hole.
LoL and the bit in the middle about gos sense of humour! i didnt understand one bit of it!

Completely agreed, although it shouldn't start at age 70, it should be every 5 years from as soon as you pass your test, with the first retest after just 1 year to make sure you haven't started any bad habits.
Bob shouldn't you be in bed?

Funny clip IMO. Almost made bits of green pepper come out of my nose, but it was worth it.

Must laugh at things like this, or tears will fall
Not all septuagenarians are useless...My Dear Old Dad is 75 at the end of this month, and STILL throws one of these around!

Admittedly it IS an automatic, but he has a car with a proper gearbox too..

e has been a member of the IAM for about 40 years, and could still probably pass the test..

btw, he has to have a medical exam every 5 years for his car license now as well as the compulsory HGV medical, just to prove that he isn't totally senile yet!
