Doing Really Well!

Need Some Criticism :D [Drifting]
Alright, well I need to learn how to drift more efficiently and faster, and what better way than to ask you guys .

The first one is just me messing around.

-Normal Tires, Keyboard Stabilized, 100 Steering & Return Rates

Second is just me warming up and generally folling around.

-Normal Tires, Keyboard Stabilised, 100 Steering & Return Rates

Third is just me attempting speed drifting (ugh) Feeble..

-Super Tires, same settings as above.

Fourth is me doing my regular lines, and being a bit serious =]

-Normal Tires, same settings as above.

I prefer you watch them in the opposite order as listed. Also, ignore the lap times, I am horrible off the start of the line (Well, for making times anyways).

Funny how so many people voted in the poll and didn't give an analysis. All I was asking for was some feedback. Did any of you even watch every replay, in the order i specified, from start to end?
If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Drifting is not as popular on these forums as it is on the actual game and demo, although it might be the case that its hard to find better ways of going sideways around a turn...its easy.
I didn't even bother watching the replays because you're using keyboard. If you really want to get good and experience something that feels like driving a real car, you need a wheel. It's as simple as that.
i watched a couple of them and for being a KB user, i voted needs a bit of practice. Just keep it up and you'll get better. Really not too bad

well with mouse ur already good to go as u can have smooth steering.
of course its not as "good" as a wheel but for those who cant get one atm its the best choice imo.
By the way, if you want to make "Show Drift" (a lot of smoke) try Hybrids at low pressure. Supers makes some smoke but feels weird to me (Dunno why). I would have offered you some help but you're Demo so eh.... If you want my setting (Options), I can e-mail you, they reacts fine and are not too sensitive (Since KB has this problem :-\)
Nah, I am good with KB, and I like the setups. I was just playing around for the first two.

The last two, I tried a bit harder. I do fairly well in a battle and whatnot. Any improvements I can make?

PS: If you do not like drifting, or do not feel that you want to watch me, dont vote in the poll and dont post :/

Thanks for the smoke tips

Im not really a newbie, I have been on Live For Speed for over a year

Time for an Upgrade to S2 perhaps?
Sure, next week
Well, you'll post those replays under a S2 license and peoples will all vote "Doing Really Well!"

I'd say lower your steer rates and assign buttons for Fast steer and Slow Steer
Actually the response if you had an S2 license would be 'why are you bothering going sideways in an xrt when you could be racing the decent cars?'
I voted that you need a bit of tips and here's one: Don't drift.

Didn't have to look at to replays to say that either.
#16 - ev0
Im not into drifting, so I can't comment on your technique. Purely from a spectator point of view, I think that your exhibitions would look more spectacular and controlled if you didn't repeatedly mount the kerb on the inside of the apex.
Thanks ev0 (finally, a real tip). I'll be sure to keep that under control. Ziil, why may I lower my steering rates?

Anyways, don't vote or post if you don't like drifting in Live For Speed. I just find it fun

What an insolent think to say to readers, whether i like drift or grip as a S2 licensed user I can post vote anywhere on this forum, no wonder demo ppl are always getting flamed its stupid posts telling other users where and how they can post that inflames things

As I said earlier give drifters a separate forum and keep em amongst their own species

Sorry but here it is:

Firstly, punctuation helps determine the mood which is output by a sentence. You have 2 commas and no periods, I have no idea if you are angry or neutral .

Secondly, we are not a species, but a drifting forum would be nice, of course it would just be filled with old dumped links since many s2 users dislike drifting.

Also, this is my post, so I have to disagree, I asked you kindly not to vote on my performance if you did not watch it, nor did you care. Putting a poll here was ridiculously stupid, my mistake for wanting feedback.

Insolent thing to say? So "as an s2 licensed user", you are allowed to disagree to what I say because I am a demo user? Sure, I will repost this topic under a different name when I get an s2 license soon, and we will see what feedback I get. "No wonder demo users keep getting flamed." Okay, so I want to lead a mature topic in order to help myself improve, is that not allowed until I get a license? No, and I am just asking for advice, not your petty complaints. I did not start anything, I simply asked for you to let this topic be fair. Simple, is it not?

So if I was an s2 user, would this be a stupid post? Honestly, I do not care what racing style you enjoy, I just prefer you to leave the bull in the bullpen if you want to post unfairly in my topic. Am I to believe Riders Motion is correct now?

No, I will not bias all s2 users, I know they are nice people, I learned from my other topic. However I believe this is one of those cases which I wanted to portray in my previous topic

Back on topic please, if this goes on the poll will be removed. Please watch the two last videos if you would like to post. Thank you very much.
Some peoples might have been a little to Cr!t!cal at you, your skills are not that bad
I don't think it has anything to do with you being a demo user, its to do with the fact your asking a bunch of racers how to improve your drifting. Do a search for forums which are about lfs drifting, perhaps from the actual drift teams, they might help more.

Thanks. I know it isnt all about me being demo. But I don't want feedback from those who don't want to give any tips or positivity...
CriticalDrift, making a "drift" related post here is pointless and gets you no where, I suggest you either shut up, give up, or join www.lfs-torque.net
I am new to this game and forum, I find it amazing how many people seem to flame others for really no apparent reason, the poor chap was just posting asking for some advise.......

smallish rant over
Quote from Stealth-X :First off Drifting is not the easiest thing to do, tell me the challenge in driving in a straight line down the backstretch rather then driving sideways countersteering to keep your car sideways through turns. Go try it and tell me how easy it is

Second Drifting aint a fad, the whole world will be driving sideways sooner or later, might aswell start now....

HAIL DRIFTERS!

Do you realyse that proper racing drivers can do that but really dont care?
I give you the challenge... beat Blackwood wr. Dont forget to use all your sideways ability to proper control the car and get good splits
